Product Description kolorMATRIX Coatings has formulated the multipurpose GEN Series plastisol inks for high production screen printing. Although most Generation inks are opaque, optimum opacity is achieved with Super Generation inks which are formulated for optimal coverage. Generation inks may also be used to print cold peel transfers. Recommended Substrates Cotton, cotton blends, polyesters, and some nylon (generally open weave or mesh types) as well as other synthetics. 100%25 Nylon may printed with the use of 10%25 Adhesion Promoter. Test print before production. Specifications Curing: Gel or flash-cure: Approximately 230 Degrees F/110 Degrees C. Full cure: 320 Degrees F/160 Degrees C. Transfer Temperature: 350 Degrees F/177 Degrees C. Fusion tests should be made prior to any production run. Failure to cure properly causes poor wash fastness, inferior adhesion and increased dye migration. Squeegee: Use medium 70 durometer. Coverage: 3000 to 3500 sq/ft per gallon. Wash-Up: SCP25 Textile Ink degrader or SCP17 Press Wipe. Mesh: Use 86-120 threads/in. or 34-49 threads/cm. for optimum opacity. Use 120-280 threads/in. or 49-110 threads/cm. for overprinting and fine line printing. Use 110-280 threads/in. or 49-90 threads/cm. for printing onto white or light fabrics. For process colors use 305-355 threads/in. or 120-140 threads/cm. Use 86-120 threads/in. or 34-49 threads/cm. for cold peel transfers. Stencil: Conventional direct or capillary films.
