will bond to paint - does not clean up with mineral spirits.

Yes, it should work fine as long as you're not making it a large application. Its dries and seals well. It doesn't have too much shrinkage.

It will seal around the windshield. It has a glossy finish

yes, I think you can. I used it in the kitchen for sealing the counter top. I had to remove it months later and I used a razer blade to remove it.
