Finally found a portable speaker that actually sounds amazing
I've gone through more portable speakers than I'd like to admit. Most of them sound good but fall short on battery, or last forever but have flat sound. The Move 2 is the first to check both boxes and still looks good. The set up was quick and easy. I had it on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth within minutes. I mostly use AirPlay around the house or in my back yard during BBQs, but Bluetooth is a nice backup to be ready to go for placed like the beach. The connection was solid. No skipping or strange pairing issues, even when switching devices. The thing that surprised me the most was the sound. It really feels like a stereo setup right in a little box. The vocals are crisp, the bass is deep without being muddy, and it easily fills room without distortion. I've tested it with everything from acoustic to hip hop to podcasts and it handles them all well. At all volumes, it still sounds full and rich, which is rare for portable speakers. Battery life lives up to the hype. I used it all day outside and still had a charge left. Charging is easy with the base, and I like that I can use USB-C if needed. The build quality also feels sturdy without being utilitarian and ugly. We were out in light rain and sun with no problems.I don't write many reviews, but this is one of the few products I would buy again without any hesitation. If you're on the fence, this is worth it. Especially if you care about sound and need something that doesn't feel like a compromise.

Great speaker. Worth the cost. Recommended!
Wow! Impressed with the engineering. Great sound, great battery life. The connections with bluetooth, Airplay, Sonos all work well.– Crisp upper range– Very good resonance in the bass range– Clear mid-range– Reliable connectivityThe addition of battery saving settings on WiFi helps make the battery drain slower by placing the speaker into standby when no signal is received, reducing the frequency of charging on the base station. Opening the Sonos app wakes up the speaker. After a timeout (I think this is around 30 minutes of inactivity) you press a button on the back of the speaker to wake it up.Really great to take this outside and either play music from a cell phone or Wifi. The Sonos app is slowly recovering from the awful software release last year. Most of the functions have been restored. It is not perfect, but very much improved. There are numerous music/podcast services available in the Sonos app. You can of course link your personal accounts (Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn, etc.) and access your favorites if you want. You can add any of your provider channels you like to a personal Sonos favorites list.It is worth the money.

A loud and heavy beast of a moveable Sonos speaker
It's pricey, but it's worth it. There is almost no chance you'll be disappointed in how the Move 2 sounds and the battery life is now more than respectable. If you've invested into the Sonos ecosystem and would benefit from a moveable, but powerful speaker, you should buy this now. The sound is deep and full with great projection, more bass response than you'd expect, and clarity even when at it's very loud max volume. My story is that I wanted a large, loud portable Sonos speaker and that's exactly what I got. My first use of the Move 2 was hosting a bike race party where the front porch and front yard were the primary gathering places (which is unusual, but the course was visible from out there). A smaller speaker like a Roam would have been OK, but even cranked all the way would have been a bit low. I put the Move 2 back in the corner of the porch, turned it 70% up and you could hear and feel it throughout the 40' x 30'ish area we needed it to cover. We also use this when hanging out on our back deck and I'll put it out of the garage window when I'm cutting the grass or gardening. It's about 30% larger than a Play:1/One/Era 100 and probably about 20% louder with more pronounced bass and a wider sound stage. It doesn't sound appreciably louder to me than the original Move, but the additional tweeter means it does cover a noticeably wider area. The original was so directional that I don't know that I'd have brought it to a small tailgate party, but I would bring the Move 2 since it covers a wider area. Sound profile wise, it's more bass capable than you'd expect from a portable speaker. I used the app to add more bass via the EQ and it responds without issue. You will feel bass-heavy songs with this speaker.I've had no issues with WiFi or Bluetooth connectivity. My iPhone 15 Pro Max maintains a clear line-of-sight Bluetooth connection to about 65 feet, but we use it via WiFi since it doesn't leave the property due to the size and weight. If we're driving or taking a train (can't check it on a flight due to the battery), I'd bring the Move 2, otherwise I'd just bring the Roam or B&O A1 (both of which are excellent in their own right) in my carry-on.Again, highly recommended. If you've made it this far, it's probably in your cart already.
