Plumb Craft Waxman7519050T Graphite Packing Compound

I got this to fix a small plumbing issue I was having. An online video showed a guy using something that looked like the product photo seen on this item. It is a white rope made from teflon. So it's like teflon tape, but rope. After receiving this product I went back and looked at the description and realized it does indeed state it is Graphite (not teflon). I tried it and it works just fine. The only issue is that the product is gray (or kinda silvery) unlike the photo in the description.

Worked well to repair a leaking valve stem on a small steam heat radiator

Product worked really well to stop a nagging leak. and I still have enough thread to repair two more leaks in the future. Thank you.

Not very good. Became dust in my hands. Ended using Teflon tape for the repair a leaking valve.
