Before They Pass Away, Small Hardcover Edition

Beautiful book and really stunning photographs. It was surprising (and lovely!) to see some modern tribes as well as older tribes represented. What an amazing amount of work has gone into putting all of this together. I am very happy that they published a more affordable edition of this book so that I could finally buy it!The only comment - and really it is a small one - is that there is a lot of photoshop/image manipulation going on in these photos, which i found a bit distracting and a bit of a shame. it takes away some of the natural beauty on some of the photos. saying that - i only notice these things because i work with photos and spot clumsy photoshop easily.nevertheless - this is an absulutely stunning piece of work. a masterpiece. buy it! you will not regret it.

Very good photos of exceptional people and places. People are posing and the pictures are theatrical, but it doesn't disturb, on the contrary. The book is well planned and abundant and the texts give a good explanation.

Beautiful book. It s so heavy that it should have bubble wrap or corner protectors...these arrivéd slightly damaged. As close to Christmas no time to send back.
