There’s a number of things I absolutely love about these! First, and most important to me, it’s actually safe for chicken allergies! A number of products will still use chicken based ingredients in non-chicken based items - like a certain dry dog food uses chicken in its lamb and rice flavor, or another pill pocket brand I used to use for my other dogs had chicken as a main ingredient in its peanut butter, cheese, and hickory smoked flavors. It’s frustrating. But this is safe, and for a great price too!Second, I love that the pill pockets are individually wrapped. It preserves freshness, and makes traveling convenient - especially if you bought a larger bag. Just pack what you need. Third, I appreciate the size of these! My dog’s daily allergy pill is tiny, so I only needed half of a pocket (and there’s a chance it could even fit into 1/4th of a pocket if I really wanted to try) - so for a 30 count bag I could administer up to 60 doses. I just put the other half in a small ziplock bag. The large size is also useful if you have a bigger medication, or need to give several smaller meds at once.Finally, my dog *loves* the taste of the grilled duck flavor. She’s not a picky eater at all so I really don’t have issues giving her meds, but she treated this like a very high value treat.One thing to note, a number of the pill pockets were smooshed so they appeared more like one long flat piece - BUT that’s just the nature of soft products like this! I have yet to find a single brand where every single pill pocket in the bag was perfectly formed. It’s still completely useable. All you have to do is separate off the size you need and either smoosh the pill in the middle (like I did in my second picture), or mold two pieces of the pill pocket around the med(s).

Our little guy, Norman Charles, has battled with allergies and anxiety for the past couple of years. It's resulted in lots of trials and journal writing for us to get his conditions under control. One of the things I looked at was changing all the proteins in his diet. It's hard to find something that doesn't have chicken in it! These were recommended at the pet store we get his food at.At first, the price was a bit of a sticker shock, but thankfully Amazon's Subscribe & Save makes it a little cheaper. Either way, I'd still spend the money as these are limited ingredient and don't have chicken in them. The individual wrapper is a little wasteful, but they stay fresh and I can split one chew up between Norman and his brother, Pappy, who also gets a fish oil supplement. When Norman needs his allergy pill twice a day (which happens intermittently), I can easily get 3 doses out of one chew. They can be a little crumbly when breaking apart or wrapping around a pill, but that doesn't really bother me as they're still moist enough to collect the little pieces back into the chew.As for the flavor, I may not be able to personally speak to that, but both dogs look forward to getting their medicine and get impatient when they hear the wrapper being opened. I'll take that as a great positive. So, limited ingredient, no chicken protein, ease of giving medication plus auto delivery...I'll take that as a win! My pup went from medication nightmare to tail-wagging treat time in seconds.The PB & banana combo is apparently irresistible to my furry patient. I just press the pill into the soft treat, give it a little squeeze to seal the deal, and watch my dog gobble it up like it's Christmas morning. No more hiding pills in cheese or playing chase-the-dog-around-the-house.The texture is perfect - soft enough to mold around any size pill but firm enough that it doesn't crumble. Even my picky eater who normally sniffs out medication from a mile away falls for this every time.90 servings means I'm set for months of stress-free medication time. What used to be a daily battle has become my dog's favorite part of the routine. Sometimes I think he's actually disappointed when he doesn't get his "special treat."Pure genius in treat form - both dog and human approved!

I needed to switch from Greenie’s Pill Pockets to these after discovering my dog had a severe allergy to chicken. These work great except they are somewhat dry, and crumble easily. That makes it a bit difficult to wrap the pills and keep them in. Would have given them 5 stars if not for that issue.

My dog is a picky Basset Hound so I have to hide his daily meds for him to take these. These are THE ONLY pill pockets he will gladly eat. They come individually wrapped so we can take them on the go and are well portioned. He loves the taste and they don’t upset his stomach at all. PB & Banana as well as the Beef flavor are his top favorites. Will continue to buy again and again!

I love these Pill Buddies and my Picky Eater does as well. I need to give her the contents (goey) of an amazing Senior Dog supplement, Senilife. These are perfect for giving it to her. A bit messy at first but have it down now. I take an implement and make a Hole straight through center of two together as it comes in packet. Squeeze contents of Senilife and squeeze shut. My dog LOVES the peanut butter and apple. Love that it’s natural and made in USA. My dogs dementia after a week has improved on Senilife. LOVE IT!

UPDATE: I finished the bag like I said. The fridge did work better. I was satisfied so bought another bag. I now am able to cut the two pill pouches using four pieces at different times to feed one small pill. I push the pill down & squeeze the sides simultaneously. I will continue to buy these. PREVIOUS REVIEW: I bought these treats b/c of the good ingredients. But they are very crumbly. Makes a mess. I took the suggestion of the one purchaser who squishes the treat then folds over the pill. Breaks and crumbles. Yes I’m able to feed it to my dog anyway. But not worth the hassle. I even put the treats in the fridge, still no good. Will finish bag but will not buy again.
