I bought this skip ball for my daughter and it has quickly become a favorite. She loves playing with it, and it has become a fun activity for us. It’s not just for kids - my spouse and I have a blast joining in the skipping fun. This is a fun toy and actually a little tricky to do! At least for an adult. I’ve done one that was a little bigger in the past so I would say this is more for 12 and under but still doable at any age. It folds in half for storage. It is not a heavy duty item but for the price it is a great way to get the kids moving. It can be used both inside and outdoors. It lights up around the end when it spins around which is a fun addition. You can’t see the lights in the daylight outside but if you do it at dusk the lights are a a great bonus. Overall a great purchase and a way to get the kids off electronics. Or it can be used as exercise while watching a show.

My 8yo daughter recently learned to use a skip it,so I ordered this 1 for her. It lights up great. Unfortunately it broke instantly. Where the rope meets in the middle,it somehow will not go back in to hold it together so it's loose. She tries to use it still but it just won't work right,won't spin correctly.

This toy really brought back fond memories! I loved showing this timeless toy to my kids for them to enjoy! It’s exactly as I remember, except this version is much more durable than they used to be! I have hit not only my other foot with the skip it, but also furniture, and it still functions perfectly! The lights when you are skipping are super cool, and it’s extremely easy to use as well as assemble!

I had one of these as a kid, the original "Skip it" version. The only feature of that one that I miss is that it had the counter on it so you could challenge yourself to get to a certain number of rotations. But, this one functions exactly the same way. My daughter is only 4 & can't quite figure out how to get it going just yet, but she's working on it. But, in the meantime, I suppose I'll be getting some good exercise with it. So, yeah, it definitely fits around an adult's ankle too, if you were curious. This is a much more fun way, in my opinion, to exercise, than just running or something (& I have a bad back, so I can't do stuff like that, but I can actually do this a little.) So, I'd recommend it for kids or adults, really.And I LOVE that it can be folded & put in the little bag that comes with it. But if your child is really young, you need to be the one to fold it up for them, because if you do it wrong - you can potentially pinch your fingers, & that wouldn't be fun for a little kid. But, the compactness of it is very convenient.The lights don't require batteries either, which is another bonus. And it's small (in length) enough to be used in the house if you have enough space - & we have a tiny house and were able to use it in the living room.I'm super pleased with it so far, hopefully my daughter will be able to figure out how to do it so she can enjoy it too.

I got this for my daughter for Easter so she hasn't used it yet BUT I had to try it out and I am surprised to say that it works! It absolutely took me back to my youth. What a fun way to burn off some energy as a kid! It is a neat design too where the stick portion can fold in for easier storage and pops out because of a bungee line the hollow part. The ankle band is cushioned so it is comfortable and the saucer that rolls around actually lights up! I can absolutely see this as being a huge hit this season!
