For a cheap unit, it works really well. I've had mine for over 5 years now and it's still going strong. Just remember not to lift the lever past 45 degrees during capping, otherwise it unlocks for repositioning up and down. Clean the unit after use! Beer will corrode the metal base plate.

Save your money. This bottle capper managed to cap 16 bottles before breaking.

It was good for about 20 cases. The red plastic nubs which act as lever anchors to allow the user to cap bottles of different heights are too soft. When they ultimately deform from the lever pressure you are left trying to rig up something else to resuscitate the unit. Interestingly they do send two of the weak little red tabs with the unit. Hmmm..., I think the manufacturer knows they are a problem because you only need one. Hate to say it but once again you get what you pay for here. On the positive side it was good during its short life span and this is still better than the more expensive Colona capper which dimples caps as a matter of course from the get go, thus rendering their sealing questionable at best. Finally, I had to just buck up for an all metal unit at about 5 times the cost of this one. If you are just doing home brew stuff a wing style capper might be a better way to go. This unit will not handle real production.
