If this is like many other double-induction burners, it can do 1800w on either burner, not both at once. But it is probably smart enough to allocate the power as needed, so you could run one at 1200w and the other at 600w. And they may be taking advantage of the fact that most newer houses have 20 amp circuits, and drawing 20a at full power instead of 15a.
