Wangdd22 5PCS V6 Volcano Aluminium Heater Block for E3D Volvano Print Head Hot End Heating Block for 3D Printer Parts

Inexpensive volcano heater block. One of my printers had a terribly messed up block. It was very simple to install this block along with a new heatbreak and nozzle. Now it works as good as new!

The E3d silicone sock does not fit this item properly. Works great and cheap!

Firstly, this is stated in the technical drawings of the listing but the heater cartridge diameter in the block is 6.1 mm instead of the standard 6mm. I assume they did that to accommodate for various heater cartridge diameter tolerances but it is just simply too large. You can really torque down the clamping bolts but it is really easy to go too far and strip the heads.Secondly, the surface finish on the block itself is pretty crap. This does not really matter though it is just clear from this and from the next part of my review that the machine they are manufacturing these parts on has a lot of slop in it.Thirdly, the threaded thru-hole for the nozzle and heat break connection is not perfectly square with the edge of the block. They are still useable as the hole itself is obviously in line with itself, so the nozzle and heat break will meet perfectly.Overall, it works and you may break one or two trying to tighten the heater cartridge down. See the attached image for the crooked heartbreak due to the angled threaded hole and also the poor surface finish from the cutting tools they are using.I would recommend buying from the Onyehn brand instead. I just received them today and they are significantly better.

i had all of the blocks sent to me leak within two weeks, i installed them properly onto the printer, and they always leaked near the heat break, i was printing with petg, 70mm/s, at 265C, which is something this should be able to handle without issue. but all of the blocks did, the threads would strip out over time and cause a slow, then very quick leak, as well as a fire hazard when the block fell off, if you are careful, you can use these, but otherwise, you get what you pay for

Not a lot to complain about - this is a competent volcano clone heater block. No fancy socks or high end screws and such, just a basic, cheap heater block that does what it is supposed to do.

Nice quality volcano clone hot-ends. Great if you're trying to setup a variety of nozzle sizes.

I was actually surprised at the quality of these heatblocks...I liked them so much I purchased several other items from this seller. His prices are pretty cheap, so I expected lower quality but everything I have gotten from them is good to excellent quality. Both the E3D clones I purchased from here are still working and print just fine. Definitely recommend his 3D printer parts...
