Good entertainment and intriguing drawings
This book seems like it would be a perfect way to pass time while waiting in a doctor's office or on a long ride -- as long as you don't cheat by referring to the solutions in the back of the book. This large, square-format book contains 14 unique two-page mazes on each open spread. These mazes are nothing like what you've seen before, with white "roads" moving around the page. Rather, these are entertaining, full-color illustrations with plenty to look at, generally starting in the upper left corner of the two-page spread and ending in the bottom right corner of the spread. The scenarios are as follows: 1. " Race your way through a kaleidoscopic crowd to catch the yellow car. On your way, try to spot: a smiling crocodile; a happy lion; a giant teddy with its pet dog; two shy black cats; and a great big grumpy bug." 2. Navigate through the many rooms and gardens of a mansion to delivery a birthday gift. 3. Guide a monster through a crowd of clients to find his way home. 4. Help a bird deliver a worm to her next of chicks, navigating through a twisty, turny, jumble of worms. (This looks like an ocean setting to me.) 5. Navigate through what appears to be an old Roman city to join a card game. 6. Help a scuba diver find his submarine in a maze of sea creatures. 7. Lead the police through a maze of elevated highways to find a robot on the loose. 8. Help the kings guest find hiss way through the village to the castle. 9. Help a boy (that doesn't look much like a boy) find his way to the ocean through a jumble of beach umbrellas. 10. Help a young man deliver a bouquet of flowers to his date through a maze of staircases in an industrial setting. 11. Lead a robot to his name through a maze of other interlocking robots. 12. Get the knight to his treasure by climbing atop a series of op-art walls. Each maze is unique and visually interesting. Some are on the diagonal, some are a side view, some as from a top view looking down, some are one-dimensional, others appear to be drawn as three-dimensional, some are simple line drawings, and others are more complex. Overall, this is a fun way to kill some time, and I think it would be particularly engaging for older children to hunt for all the interesting things along the way.

Fun for kids and adults
Love love love this book. I've been eyeing it for my son and when I saw it was on sell here I had to get it. I think he is still a bit young for it (4) but we have lots of fun trying to figure it out together.

Good, artistic mazes, but clues can be a bit deceiving
My 9 year old liked doing these mazes, though they can be a bit confusing. It's nice in that the mazes are kind of like actual drawings or artwork rather than typical mazes. However, this also can be confusing as sometimes you might not quite be sure of what the "path" is and what the "walls" are. Also, there's text clues as to sights, people, objects, etc that you'll see along the correct path, but they aren't always in order. Sometimes they came a bit out of order, or were grouped together along small sections of the path rather than being somewhat evenly spaced out. Of course, once you've found the path, there's not much use for the book. It might have been a cool idea to have the sights and scenes that you're supposed to find also coordinate with different paths, or having multiple paths where the goal is to see how many special items you can pass without doubling back on yourself. Otherwise, it's a nice book with cool mazes that are a break from the norm.

Good book for training observation skills
4 year old grandson loves tracing his finger through the various mazes & trying to find the hidden objects. We like the way the mazes get harder as you progress through the book.

Really cool book that will hold up over the years
Really cool book. Bought this for my 3 year old son that loves mazes. We have fun with this book together. As he gets older the mazes will take on new dimensions. The book will grow with him. Highly recommend.
