I got this to hook up with Alexa and turn off the lamp at the end of my bed so I didn't have to get up when I'm done reading, and it's one of the best purchases I've made in a LONG time. It comes packaged nicely with very concise directions. I'm always leery of "off brand" items, but this seemed pretty professionally done to me. The directions seem a bit daunting, but they were surprisingly easy to follow and I had this thing up and running in about five minutes. Way easier than I was expecting. It's been plugged in and used multiple times daily. Doesn't feel warm and works great.Downsides? 1) the light on it may be annoying if you require a pitch black room and this goes somewhere conspicuous. The blue light is fairly bright in a dark room. 2) it didn't work with an extension cord plugged into it. I'm sure it's a safety feature, but I felt it should be noted.I am VERY happy with this and I'm certainly going to be getting more!

Right off from the first I loved the shape of this smart plug. I had another 1 that I use with my Christmas tree lights, but the problem is that it is so but I can not use the other outlet because it covers over a part of it. With this shape being rectangle I could use both of these in 1 unit. These are voice controlled with Alexa or you can just turn it off and on with your cell phone. These plugs work with your homes wifi. It is very easy to download the app and then to pair up with your cell phone. At the moment I have 1 hooked to my living room lamp and 1 to the pet mat because I keep forgetting to turn it on at night and we keep our house cooler at night than during the day and my 2 kitties love to be warm. I am at the moment thinking of changing the living room lamp 1 and instead hooking it up to my electric blanket on my bed. These are so handy and easy to use.
