It is a little clunkier to operate the lid than the old unit, but I think the stopper will be way more durable in the long run. Installation was not super easy, the instructions are not that great with this particular set up. But if I can figure it out, so can you. The biggest downside to this unit is that it is 2-3 inches longer than the originals, and that puts the waste outlet very close to level with my drain stub. Mine was just enough higher to get away with it.
