So once the lamps were converted to 12 volts DC these bulbs just screw in and work great. I was a bit worried about their brightness ...
December 2017. Had four mains 240volt outside lights that developed and earth fault and kept tripping the circuit breaker so converted the outside feed to12 volts DC by using a transformer. These bulbs have the same thread so no lamp modifications or changes were needed. The are also in polarity reversible so wiring to all lamps in the circuit don't need to be changed. So once the lamps were converted to 12 volts DC these bulbs just screw in and work great. I was a bit worried about their brightness but they are really good, I'd say a bit brighter than a normal 60 watt bulb. Very pleased. Can't say how long they will last though but first impressions are very good.

I had some new garden lights that run off 240v AC to replace some 12V AC lights but the wiring was already in situ and the tranformers have served well for over 20 years so didnt want to have to replace the wiring and transformers so found these 12V AC bulbs running just 4 watts to be absolutely perfect
