Ravensburger GraviTrax Starter Set - Marble Run, STEM and Construction for Toy Children Age 8 Years and Up for Kids

My kids can spend hours setting it up and watching it go! It's a well designed product with great opportunity to keep the fun alive with endless add-ons.

Big starter set that can be used over several months. There are easy exercises and later on it graduates to puzzles. Kids can enjoy this for hours. It is a very good complement to Lego sets - combines the creativity and construction of Lego with the fun of marble runs!

Marble runs are nothing new for sure, but GraviTrax brings something new to the marble run table with a very clever system of interconnecting pieces that enables twists, turns and tricks that anyone can put together. The starter kit, as its name suggests, is essentially what you need to get you going, and contains all of the core elements to build your first marble run. The pieces are based on a hexagonal 'honeycomb' system, aided by interlocking mats to ensure you get everything in just the right place. GraviTrax won't have you building particularly tall marble runs, which you might think a little odd since a marble run is essentially a track that depends on gravity to keep the marble rolling, but GraviTrax employs some clever tricks such as the magnetic cannon to give your ball a speed boost and keep it going over a greater distance. If you love GraviTrax as much as we do, it won't be long before you've exhausted everything you can do with the starter set and want to start making tracks that are bigger and better. For that you need to purchase the add-on packs, which seem quite costly for what you get in them. Cost aside, it does mean that GraviTrax is infinitely expandable, so your only real problem is finding space to put it all. You will probably want to invest in some extra balls (or gravity spheres as they call them), but if you were thinking about using GraviTrax with marbles that you might already own then be aware they need to be a specific size to work with this system, half an inch (or 12.7mm) to be precise. Obviously only steel balls will work with the magnetic features, but there's no reason why you couldn't use balls of any other material otherwise. Once you get your hands on your first GraviTrax set, you will understand why this has been a massive sell-out in the territories that it has already launched. One to watch for Christmas 2018!

Mes enfants (10 et 5 ans) adorent les jeux de billes: il y a le côté construction avec un guide de plusieurs choix de circuit et une partie où on leur demande de compléter un circuit commencé pour réfléchir à comment faire pour arriver au point d'arrivée…. Cela les occupe longtemps. le plateau de base fait que la construction est assez solide (j'ai des enfants remuants) je ne regrette pas mon choix

Dieses Set gab es bei uns zu Weihnachten und unsere 8 jährige Tochter ist absolut begeistert. Sie hat schon einige Bahnen gebaut und kann sich wirklich lange damit beschäftigen, ohne, dass es langweilig wird. Sogar der Papa baut bei uns sehr gerne mit 🙂 Es wirkt auf den ersten Blick kompliziert, jedoch kommt unsere Tochter sehr gut damit zurecht und denkt sich immer komplexere Bahnen aus. Das Starterset enthält nicht zu wenig Material, so wie man es bei anderen Sets kennt, sodass man nicht sofort an die Grenzen stößt und nachkaufen muss. Trotzdem werden wir und bald Erweiterungen holen, da es so viel Spaß macht. Eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Leuk en stevig

Visade sig bli det 6-åriga barnbarnets favoritjulklapp. Går att bygga om på många olika sätt. När han fyller år skall han få en som bygger mer vertikalt. Ser ut att kunna bli något kul att leka med i flera år framöver då det finns ännu mer avancerade varianter. Denna var dock lagom för 6-åringen. Tror inte man skall vara yngre än så för denna.
