Easy but takes time to assemble
Went together easily. Each step in the directions had a separate set of bolts and nuts labeled for each step. Put it together in about 3 hours alone. Works great and feels very stable.

Great quality piece
Writing this review on regards to the Spart Leg/Hack Press we just purchased for our home gym. Very impressed with the quality, heavy gauge steel, great craftsmanship on all welds, power coat and paint! It isn't very often you unpack something and find blems, dents and other surprises on your products. The leg press arrived professionally wrapped in bubble wrap( every piece) in three boxes, clearly marked. The hardware kit and instructions precise, not a bolt or nut missing. They even included a small bag of extra nits and bolts if needed. It took me 3.5 hours to build without help, probably quicker with two people. Parts were in different boxes but easily figured out some parts already put together. It's best to follow each step, as the nuts and bolts are listed for each given step, type size amount ect. The final product is heavy, sturdy and very smooth during operation. We are super happy with this purchase and highly recommend this leg press for others. The only difference in the commercial type presses are the shoulder and seat pads- but the home use setup are far thick enough. Did my first leg workout yesterday, very easy to maneuver, stack weights and operate( felt the burn)! Thank you Spart, now its time to purchase your leg extension/leg curl machine. Oh yeah, did we mention, the red paint and black power coat paint go awesome together.

Very nice!
Pros… Very nice and Sturdy. Works very nice and is a great buy!Cons… Bottom center base looked like it got painted and bubble wrapped before it was dry. Can see bubble wrap on paint. None of the nuts and bolts are numbered which I had to take apart assembly a couple times figuring out which ones to use where. The video saved me. The instructions are not the best… The product is absolutely amazing and I would definitely buy and recommend it. If you are not mechanically inclined it’s going to be really hard to assemble.

Some design flaws, but you’ll like it anyway
This is a review of the commercial-grade version of this machine (Model #CH3003Z). I rate it at 5 stars because I think it is well worth the price, BUT it should be more like 4.5 stars because of some issues that I think could make this a stronger product for no much added cost. The build:As advertised, the machine was promptly shipped and it arrived in 4 boxes, clearly marked with numbers 1 to 4.Carrier was FedEx, and as you can imagine, the boxes were not 100% intact, but it wasn't too bad.I opened the boxes in order and arranged all the materials around the area. Moving the machine when assembled is challenging, so I suggest building it as close to the final destination as possible. All the instructions and small parts were in box 4, which is fine, but just don't worry if you don't find them immediately in box one like you'd expect. The bolts and small parts were packed poorly, thrown in a weak, open plastic bag, wrapped in bubble wrap, and taped. The whole thing was leaking parts that I found around the box. Thankfully, none got lost (I think, see below). The manufacturer might want to separate them into smaller bags labeled with numbers, as it took me one hour to inventory them in bags and label them appropriately. I recommend using sandwich-size ziplock bags and take the time to sort them out. To do that properly, you'll need something to measure the bolt sizes in mm (I used a caliper); otherwise it will be hard to tell what's what. The list of parts will have the total number of pieces for each part and, on some of them, the number of pre-installed parts. So, if it says "10pcs (PRE 4Pcs)," it means 10 total, 4 of which are attached already to some of the other parts, so do not worry if you do not find them in the bag of bolts. Some of the powder-coated parts were scratched up, but not too severely. The axles (part #32) were pretty rough (some rust). I applied some grease, but the manufacturer might want to upgrade the quality of this part. Having some lubricant will come in handy (do not use WD40!!!) 4 bolts (part #13) to secure a metal plate to one of the cushions were missing altogether. I checked carefully; I don't think they got lost in the box because they were ALL missing and they were the ONLY parts missing. So, it seems like they were omitted. I had to buy some new ones (M8x25)Somebody complained that the instructions are only images. I did not find that to be an issue. I prefer clear images-only to poorly translated words. If you haven't built something like this before, remember not to tighten the nuts immediately (just use your fingers so they stay in place), before all the pieces at a particular step are in place. when everything is in place, tighten them a bit at a time (meaning, go around several times bolt by bolt, making all of them tighter and tighter together). I recommend using a torque wrench to avoid over-tightening them. Also, make sure to go gentle on the bolts connected to the cushions (parts 37, 38, and 39). You will easily strip the threads on the cushions, and you do not need those to be all that bl.Overall, the instructions were pretty straightforward, although suggesting a specific sequence for some things would have been nice. Most notably, in Step 3, I installed part 10 before part 9, which was a mistake. Even with very loose bolts, you cannot fit part 9 if part 10 is installed. The correct sequence in Step 3 is: part 9, part 11 (2x), part 10. You will need a helper, or you can work alone (I did) if you have some tape and tape part 11 to part 3 to help you hold it in place. The machine:Design problem: As somebody reported, there is no way to fit a 45 lbs plate on the bottom plate holder attached to the sled as it will hit one of the seld wheels. You can fit a 35-pound plate at most, but it is awkward.Design problem: This machine is rated for 2500 lbs, but there is no way to load that much weight. There are not enough holders for that many plates. I estimate that you could get to 853 lbs total IF you load every single holder to the max (12x 45 lbs plates at the top, 8x 35 lbs at the bottom, + the sled weights 33 lbs of weight (I tested it). I don't think this is acceptable, as the machine is advertised as 2500 lbs. Now... you will probably not NEED that kind of weight, but somebody who buys this thing might want more than 850 lbs, and they'd be disappointed to find that it won't be possible.Design problem: If you want to perform a hack squat, you won't be able to fit your head through the shoulder pads if you are wearing headphones. The shoulder pads are very close together, and your head will fit through it barely (unless you have a massive head), but headphones will not. Manufacturer, why so little space?!?Once built, this thing is heavy as hell and very sturdy. You will struggle to move it. I did it alone, but it was a workout, and I only had to slide it a few feet. The pin system to adjust the calf raise attachment (part 23) could have been much better. It is a bit of a struggle to put in and out, and you'll need to do that every time you want to switch to calf exercises. Also, the calf raise attachment is wobbly inside the square hole on the bottom plate. It should fit more snugly, IMHO. It does not feel solid. The pin system to adjust the angle of the bottom plate could also be better. It is the same as the calf raise attachment.Overall, it was a good purchase and I would buy it again, but the manufacturer might want to fix the "design problems" I described above to make a more robust product.

Poor Quality Fit and Finish
I would not recommend buying this machine. There were no instructions with the 4 large boxes of hardware that showed up in 2 separate shipments and there were missing bolts and lock nuts that I had to buy to finish building it. The main piece that locks in the leg press wouldn’t fit with the plastic guides in place and one came out when inserting the brace. Had to remove the other one to be able to convert it to a hack squat. Honestly, if I didn’t have so much time invested building this thing, I would return it. Do not buy this leg press/hack squat, it’s poorly manufactured and wobbles when using the leg press because the guides aren’t machines correctly.

Great product
Super smooth at a great price. Love the machine. Was pretty easy to build by myself, took about 4 hours. Only part that I would say you may need help with is getting the poles in. Only one part came slightly bent which I was able to bend back into place when it was built. It maybe a little difficult the get in and out of, but it’s compact compared to a commercial leg press/hack squat so that’s to be expected.Overall I’ll rate it a 5 for a garage gym use.

Confused
The instructions are very confusing, the nuts and bolts are all different size and they are all mixed into one bag , if you want to take all day building it and sorting it by all mean, the product it’s self is sturdy and packaged well but building it is a mess

It’s a beauty and sturdy
The machine is a beauty , it wasn’t as hard to put together if you fallow the video+ the instructions , a little confusing but ones you get the hang of it ,is a breeze. I did it all by my self even though an extra pair of hands would have made everything easier. It runs well and it feels very sturdy and stable. Very happy with my purchase is a 5 star for me. Also I was worried about the plates I could put on the back, the machine easily holds 45cm (17.72inch) diameter weight plates . And the seller was quick to respond with my questions . Like I said . five stars.
