I waited to do a review to make sure we it was accurate. We installed ours in late February and it's now mid October. We haven't had any issues at all. Installation was super easy. Everything we needed was in the box. (We did just replace an old hunter fan so that helped with the ease of installation.) The speeds of the fan are great, 6 different speeds and they really get going. I usually only use a 1 or 2, but my husband used the higher ones. They're quiet, what you hear is the air moving/wind from the fan and thats it. The light is my only issue, and it's really just a me thing. I have a hard time seeing with the warm and cold lights so I usually keep it in the middle on the brightest. I will say that I liked how my hunter one lit the room a bit better (it was spread out further) but in a smaller room (or with someone who doesn't have goofy eyes lol) it works perfect. I do like that you can dim the lights too! It looks great and really doesn't stand out in the rooms at all. And I love the remote function. Add a remote locator button and it would be a sanity saver when the kids lose it. I also want to note that we did buy 2 fans, they are installed in adjacent rooms about 20-25 feet apart. I was concerned about remotes crossing waves (I've had it happen with remote cars) but they did not! Each remote had its own serial number on it and it's worked out perfectly. I would but this fan again. So far it's been worth every penny.

I did not receive a user manual in the box - so, I appreciate Michael F.'s review with the pictures. Other: there are plenty of YouTube videos that explain how to properly "install a ceiling with remote". The low-profile design (40" diameter - a drop of 8") is ideal for a small room (10x12 feet in my case, 8 feet to ceiling). The light choices are soft up to crazy bright; the airflow is above expectation and quiet at high speeds. VERY SATISFIED with this purchase.>>PROS<<>Plastic blades will last 100 years - without concern for mold and moisture breaking-down the fibers or rotting wood joints. Also, polymers are easier to clean with heavy solvents. Disposal: recycle to a future 3D printer (idk)?>DC motors are super quiet - even at high speeds; DC motors are definitely more efficient (do your own research) - but most modern electrical/electronics in the home are converted to DC and solar power.>Installation was easy - I had the fan up in less than 2 hours; one-person lift - use zip ties or thin wire to hang the assembly to the provided metal hook on the metal base> The LED lights can get mega-bright at the highest setting - which is good for bad-vision ppl in small spaces>The price is fair - considering that SMART products usually add $100 to a simple design>>CONS<<>I trust the remote control - but, I don't trust the longevity of the receiver. If the two become asynchronous (not communicating by factory default) - then the unit is literally dysfunctional (hot trash). Replacing the receiver would require a new/resetting the remote :(>Might be a good idea to run a ground wire to your ceiling (if not provided); a DC motor circuit usually requires a reliable ground (green) wire - or copper from home? The AC-to-DC converter (or transformer) does not typically need the green - but, the safety and efficiency of the motor is different.

The media could not be loaded. Purchased the open box one and it works perfectly. Love the remote and that you can change the color of the light from white to yellow. And the fan has 6 speeds and it can change direction. Makes no sound barely either. Easy to install.

Installation does take two people to hold it steady to secure it to the ceiling, but don’t they all? It is otherwise quite easy to install. We liked the first one so much that we bought another to put in a second small-ish bedroom. We are so pleased with the bright light (when you want it), the remote control which has so many different color and brightness settings and is so easy to use, and the quiet, efficient fan.

The perfect cost-effective ceiling fan. They do not look cheap, but the quality for the price is unbeatable. Easy installation for a ceiling fan, and the remotes are good. I bought three of them for my house.

There are a few items which need to be heeded when installing this fan: After attaching the mounting plate to the electrical box, the control unit needs to be installed next. This makes connecting the cables much easier. There is a 'hook' of sorts to hand the fan motor assembly on while you connect the cables. It is best to have help in holding the fan in place, as the 'hook' isn't really a hook. A small screw-on cable connector is an alternative, but care must be taken to avoid dripping the motor assembly.The remote control for these fans is preprogrammed and cannot be changed. I purchased three of these fans, and thankfully all had different control codes—an important item.I bought these to replace 42" regular ceiling fans in a portico. These new remote controlled fans put out more air, are quieter, and do not shake rattle and roll! A bonus, the LED, dimmable lighting units are bright white. All in all, good buy!
