The only thing about this is that it came without a battery. In fairness, it does say "Tool only" but I thought that meant no bits or charger. I mean, come on, what good is the tool without the battery? But I digress... This tool has been a life-saver. It used to take me an hour to change the blades on my lawn tractors because I always had to mess with loosening and tightening the nuts, but this makes it faster, easier, and less wear and tear on the nuts... Buy this tool, get a battery and charger, along with the right sockets for your lug nuts, keep it in your truck or car, and changing tires after a flat has NEVER been so easy. What a time saver, which is important in the middle of a blizzard! (After that, I got one for the wife just in case...) Just as effective as the impact wrenches your mechanic uses except you're not tied down to an air compressor. And it makes rescuing damsels in distress a snap too. My truck will never be without it again. And the lithium battery--that is not included--isn't affected by cold or heat, so you can leave it in your vehicle year round if you wish.

Great addition to the tool set. Great torque and gets the job done.

Bought this for husband- husband review as follows: Only used the first time so far but I've had good luck with the rest of my Rigid drill, 1/4" impact set. I wanted this tool because it is the torquey-est of the mid-rangers. Still light enough to use around the shop, but with 450lb-ft it is WAAAAY stronger than all other mid-range impacts that I researched. Dewalt at 330lb-ft and even Kobalt's 24V was less. I didn't think I'd need to go to the Dewalt heavy duty or Kobalt's heavy duty since they are all way larger/heavier and I didn't think I'd need a full 660-1200 lb-ft for my passenger-truck projects. Plus, this is a great value compared to those 2. Man was I right! This thing took old rusted studs off the exhaust manifold in seconds. 200K miles on this truck and some of these bolts have never been turned before and tap!tap!tap! they are off. Will do everything you need it to do within reason. If I need more torque, there's always my pneumatic impact gun. Though I'd be surprised if the pneumatic gets much action time with this Gen5x in the toolbox.

I was tasked with replacing the anode rods in my water heater and also my mothers. I initially tried with just a 14 inch breaker bar and basically just twister the entire water heater. Once this arrived I snapped on an impact socket and in less than 15 seconds the rods was removed ! I also used this while replacing my sway bar on my truck. No issues again. Plenty of power. It was about 33 bucks cheaper than Home Depot. Yea, I know you give up the warranty but, warranty's are not like they used to be and sometimes ( Most of the times ) it's just more convenient to either fix it yourself or just buy a newer model and replace it. So yeah, If this ever were to stop working, I'd be buying another hopefully from the same seller :)

It is a little heavier than I thought it would be. But it does the job I need to remove 120 ft-lb tightened lug nuts without much fuss.

I’ve only had this for less than a month now and have only had the opportunity to use it twice, but both times it worked magnificently. The batteries from my Ridgid drill kit from 4-6 years ago fit and work perfectly. I’ve also been told any of the slide on lithium batteries will work. This Impact driver has plenty of power to remove lug nuts, rusty bolts and seized fasteners. Definitely great value. Only downside is if it isn’t purchased from Home Depot there is no warranty coverage. But I’m willing to risk it as none, and I mean none of my Ridgid tools I have, have ever needed repair or service.

Have had a chance to use it a bunch and though they do make a monster impact even bigger than this, it's perfect for most jobs on my cars. Cracked lug nuts loose and some other big stubborn bolts no problem. Feels great in the hand and the front led lights around the chuck are bright. It's prob my favorite tool right now lol. Been a mechanic my while life and would be great in a shop but if you're a professional the larger one is gonna be you're best bet for heavy duty work. For the average mechanic though this is perfect and you won't regret the purchase. The auto torque feature is a really nice touch so with 3 power modes you have 4 modes in total. I usually use the auto when tightening bolts and can ramp it up to high (3) when removing really tight ones. Auto mode won't over torque or strip out anything so if you're a beginner this is a great tool to have.

Have used the Impact Driver and works exceptionally well, very happy with the quality and performance.

Good cordless impact wrench. Purchased it for tire changes and works really well. Watched a YouTube video of a mechanic using it-“Rainman Ray” and so I purchased it. Works awesome!!! Way better than a corded one I purchased.

I am very happy with the build quality of Rigid tools in general but the impact wrench is no exception. It has at least the amount of advertised torque or may be more..Works great on all settings. I will recommend this to my friends
