Got these shoes second hand for a wedding in August, tried them on with tights and they became unwearably slippy and the heel left my foot completely. As you can see these things work a treat. Im a uk5.5/6. The straps aren't as stretchy as you think, so either your shoe cant have much more raised decoration (or overly thick platform) then I have on mine or you can just go over your heel lol. They went over fairly easily with some careful finagling (again, i feel dumb its way easier over the heel) I tried without separating the straps but it's definitely better one going over your Achilles. The lil metal movey things make it as tight as you need and I definitely dont need the velcro stuff on the bottom. Looking forward to using these on other shoes I cant wear well! Really recommend, much prettier then the plastic strap types available.

I like these straps but the elasticated bit is only about 2 inches, the fancy straps are not. I have size 41 shoe size and cannot get one of the straps to go behind my heel as they do not stretch. Fine for smaller, daintier feet I guess. But I can use them just to hold shoes on more securely.
