Mystery Babylon - When Jerusalem Embraces The Antichrist: An Exposition of Revelation 18 and 19

Its amazing, this book has confirmed thoughts that I have been having for awhile concerning Jerusalems involvement with the antichrist are true!! I believe that the author has done his research, including prayer and seeking guidance by our Lord, and has explained incredibly well the proof and logic that confirms his statements about Israel and her prized city. There are other teaching by some who have believed that the antichrist would be Jewish and from the tribe of Dan, either way, I believe the author is right concerning Israels belief that this man will be their long awaited messiah and that most of the world will become undone by the devil's deception. I wonder if the Christian "falling away" will be because of the error in the teaching of a pretrib rapture and that many who held that belief will find solace in the Jewish false messiah. And of course the fact that the devil HATES Jerusalem it stands to reason that he would desire to destroy her. Christians are so excited about Trump's decision to acknowledge Jerusalem as Israel's capital, but they don't realize he has only helped start the countdown to her destruction!

Chris White made a large impact on the internet with his teachings a short time. I have some more verses related to this topic that I would like to share.Where will the Antichrist reign from?God says Jerusalem is a whore over 100 times. Is Jerusalem on 7 hills? Over the years I have followed Chris White's work through his many podcasts. I have found him to be a humble radio personality, admitting when he is wrong and disagreeing with others gently, while still firmly defending his belief in the Christian faith without compromise. Although I subscribe to many podcasts, Mr. White's Bible Prophecy Talk and Nowhere To Run are favorites due to his delivery and insight.The premise of this book was presented on the Bible Prophecy Talk podcast some time ago. When we consider the area of prophecy it's important to take into consideration there are no easy answers. We are speculating on future events using the lense of scripture to help us focus. Chris' claims concerning the coming Antichrist, including where he may come from, are unique. While others such as Dave Hunt and Chuck Missler have taken on this area, Chris offers a unique view that pulls from the work of other scholars, but mostly from his own thorough study of scripture.I had been waiting on this book for some time, and purchased as soon as it was available. Chris White has done his research, and while many will disagree with him, it's hard to find fault with his scholarship. We won't know all the details of how end times events turn out until they occur, but Mystery Babylon is an honest, well thought out attempt to connect the dots in language average Joe Christian will be able to understand. Well done, Chris!

When it comes to the topic of Mystery Babylon, this is the best book out there and I am willing to say that it is probably the best that there ever will be. Why? Unlike other authors dealing with this subject, Chris White takes the readers down a direct path to Mystery Babylon. He uses scripture alone and not biased, man-made histories or ever changing current events. This book proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that you don't need to be a historian to understand the prophecies of God and that God did indeed reveal the answer to us through the scripture. White's Mystery Babylon is clear, concise, and is presented in the most straight-forward, humble manner. For those who are trying to decide if this book is worth your time and money, ask yourself if you are wanting to find the truth. If your answer is yes, then this is the book for you. White's book is void of the usual soft ball, all over the place unproved ramblings that are all too typical in today's prophecy books. Instead, it is filled with cohesive explanations and several particularly interesting nuggets of evidence that are usually overlooked. This is a stand out book, not only within the topic of Mystery Babylon, but prophecy in general.

Chris White makes, in my opinion, a very sound argument for Mystery Babylon being Eschatological (or end times) Jerusalem. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It complements Chris White's podcast on Mystery Babylon perfectly and I would encourage any potential reader to also watch the video podcast on the same subject. I have never heard his arguments from any other bible teacher before. However I think if you watch the podcast first you will come to the conclusion that his arguments are valid and well grounded. I would also recommend that you watch his podcast on "The rapture puzzle solved with Matthew 24". This is the clearest presentation on the "pre-wrath" position I have watched and convinced me, before reading many other books, that pre-wrath was the correct position ; ie that the rapture and day of the Lord are back to back events between the 6th and 7th seals. Chris has a masterly way of making difficult concepts readily understood.As an aside I would also recommend "Shadows of the Beast" by James Jacob Prasch. It is a in my opinion a masterpeice that I would encourage all Christians who are sceptical of the pre-wrath position to read.The Church will still be here on this earth when the antichrist is revealed. Please don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

It is not very often that it is possible to say that the preconceived ideas you have before you read a book are overturned, but I can say that this does seem to be the case after reading this book by Chris White.I will admit that I am not a big fan of commentaries on prophetic books of the bible, as the author points out with particular reference to the subject matter of this book, Mystery Babylon - "people think that they have to have Mystery Babylon account for all the evil in the world, past, present and future. So they go looking, in the past or in the present, for the most evil thing they can think of and that's pretty much how they come up with their interpretation- whatever the most evil thing is in their paradigm, is what [Mystery Babylon] will be to them. It's not a coincidence therefore that all the books about [Mystery Babylon] being some aspect of Islam showed up after 911"This is perhaps true also with a lot of commentaries on prophetic books, and because of it they end up being mostly speculation, with very little scriptural support to back up what they speculate. This though is not the case with Mr. White's book; he compares scripture with scripture and demonstrates his position very well by using this method.I was so struck with his thoroughness that after about 30 pages I began to see a similarity with the writings of Arthur W. Pink, not because they would agree on all points of doctrine, but rather because of the depth that Mr White goes into, whilst cross referencing scripture with scripture. It was therefore interesting to see that on page 35 he ends up quoting from Pink :-)I know that some people will think that I am taking the comparison too far, but I am hoping that in the years to come, if God spares him, Mr White will perhaps get the recognition and appreciation that he deserves, which unfortunately Mr Pink only got after he had died.Mr White is at heart an evangelist, which is why he gives away data disks with over 8Gb of Christian material, to anyone anywhere in the world (you can also download it at one of his websites for free (bibleprophecytalk.com/christianity-101-dvd ) but his valuable research is both deep and broad, as it covers so many different topics, from confronting and debunking the `New Age' and its proponents, to giving deep biblical insight into many of the topics that he covers on his podcasts.As you can tell I have found Chris White Ministries to be so useful over the past year or so, but because of the preconceptions I had before I started listening to his podcasts, I was a bit dubious of his interpretations of Daniel and the book of Revelation, but once I saw how thorough he was in researching the other topics for his Youtube videos and podcasts, I thought I would purchase the book "Mystery Babylon" and his newly released commentary on "Daniel" to see if I could be persuaded through examining his arguments in print. Having read this book, my previous point of view has been severely challenged, and perhaps even permanently changed, as I suspect it will take some serious examinations of the scriptures to counter the position Mr White has laid out in this book.I am now looking forward to reading Mr. White's commentary on Daniel :-)I know that it is naughty to add an obscure reference, but if Mr. White has a `sidekick' anything like `Jesse Pinkman' I am sure he would say something like "Yeah Mr. White! You really do have a plan! Yeah theology!" ;-)

Having read Dave Hunt's book A Woman Rides the Beast about 13 years ago I believed it was foregone conclusion the that the City of Roman had to be the Harlot of Revelation 17. However having read this book, the realization that the End Times City of Jerusalem is the Harlot and that Great City of Revelation 17&18 brings a new sense of clarity to the scriptures that I didn't know was there to be reached. Now I can I see a lot more flaws in the conventional teaching of End Times in this area thanks to this and other works of Chris White. An example of one of these contradiction is the view that The First Beast of Revelation 13 is The Revived Roman Empire with Rome the City being The Harlot of Revelation 17. This view would make the Beast and the Woman one entity in effect in my opinion which is not what scripture shows us. I can understand why certain Christians might want to hold onto the view that The Harlot is the City of Rome, The Vatican given how much damage they've done in history as the likes of Dave Hunt showed in his work but the truth is always more important than one's fondness of a particular argument and at the time writing this review we can see many prophetic things happening in Israel and Jerusalem that line up with scriptural position put forth in this book and I believe we will continue to see more things soon.

Chris is a great researcher and evangelist. I am living testimony for his evangelism as it was Chris who led me to Christ.I follow a lot of end-times commentators and researchers and I have to say that Chris is always the voice of biblical reason. Whenever I hear some far-out theory, I just go back to Chris and he keeps me grounded with solid Scripture-based argumentation.This is the most convincing and thorough exposition of Mystery Babylon I have heard and although it flies in the face of most views, you will be left wondering how you ever considered Mystery Babylon could be anything other than Jerusalem!

Excellent book. If truth is what you are seeking and not just what you want to hear/read to suit your own theology then this book will certainly give you that. Its a brilliant brake down of what the scriptures have to say on this subject. I would also recommend another book by Chris White called False Christ as the two books go hand in hand.Be like the Study the scriptures to validate what this book is saying it is AMAZING
