These are pretty heavy and thick. Should protect items very well. They came up in a search for sound dampening which is what I was looking for. I am using them as a barrier between the main part of the office and where I have 3D printers. They do surprisingly well to block some of the sound. After trying multiple options I did not have high hopes. They aren't soundproof by any means but their thickness helps a lot. In the right configuration and area they can help with blocking some noise. True soundproofing options were very expensive compared to a couple of these and they do well enough for my use. They are built made very well and should last a long time.

You get what you pay for, and it delivers. I hang this in front of my room when I know I'm gonna be screaming while gaming, and there is a noise difference. People need to keep in a mind that even a few decibel difference in sound is enough for something to change from loud to quiet. I also really enjoy the holes near the top, makes hanging this very easy!

Like some of the other reviews, upon receiving this "sound dampening" blanket, we discovered a tag inside that says it's just a moving blanket. That's fine, guess it could serve both purposes, but clearly it was not designed around sound dampening. We have installed this on a track system to separate our children's bedroom hallway from an open kitchen doorway. It does not seem to reduce the volume level enough to notice. What it DOES do it muffle higher pitched sounds so that they're not as "sharp". So while the volume doesn't really change, the range of sound becomes lower, which seems to be slightly less noticeable. I know the dimensions are posted, but it is still surprisingly enormous. For the price, I guess it's about as good as you'll find.

Great quality! Super heavy, so be sure to purchase some sturdy ceiling hooks if your setup requires it. My son and I have a gaming channel on YouTube and we both use microphones in close proximity. This product ( along with software adjustments) makes a huge difference in microphone bleed.

Incorrect dimension representation. It was not made clear in the photos, without zooming in, what the dimensions were. I ordered 3 of these to cover a vocal booth that was 8’ x4’x4’. My math was right that I would only need 3. But when it arrived the dimensions were backwards from my math. I expected 80” from grommet to floor, 96 wide. As most vocal booth builds are 80” tall. The packaging said “moving blankets”, but the listing is marketed towards vocal booth/acoustic usage. So the wrong dimensions creates a problem when using it for acoustic means. This will not wrap around a booth at the typical dimensions. It will be too long and gather on the floor and you will be missing a door covering/flap. These are very expensive considering they aren’t what they are labeled as. These are not acoustic blankets, they’re moving blankets that they put curtain loops on. They will work, but double check your dimensions first.

Does not dampen exterior sound, more so dampens sounds inside from bouncing around as much. Very heavy.

Nicely packaged and I used one to block out sun love it very thick weight good size I just ordered 2 more they are going over my windows to keep sun out . They are of good quality
