Refreshing approach to food writing
I've been buying Lucky Peach since issue one, so no surprises I like it. Having read many examples of the standard food mags, whiile enjoying thier recipes and info, get a vauge feeling it's all slightly differing approaches to the same concept, which is fine but sometimes you hanker after a more novel outlook.Lucky Peach takes a more culty ziney approach, it is not packed with recipes, and some of those that are included may not be of your mid-week supper variety. But what this mag does in spades is, great contributers (Harold McGee always fascinates me), food culture, personal experiances, and rarely covered international themes. So if you like your straight recipe packed mag, maybe not for you. But if you like to take a big (sometimes quirky) picture approach to food and the culture surrounding it, you may well embrace it's originality.

Peach
I love this series. It is humorous, informative and always odd. It removes the rigidity of cooking and the stander way of looking at food. But don't move too far from food....

This is the Street Food Special LP, worth reading
This issue covers Street Food from across the world with the usual quirky, irreverent articles.Definitely worth reading if you are a fan of LP.

Excellent magazine, sujets intéressants et très bien traités. Je n'en attendais pas moins de l'équipe de David Chang. Vraiment top!
