DO NOT PURCHASE--becomes defective after the warranty ends
This is my first time writing a review for this product, but it should be my second. I originally purchased this charger and when I first received it, it worked well. Several months later, I noticed that it started to have issues charging. I'd have to unplug it from the wall and replug it in again for it to work. A little while after that it stopped working all together. I reached out to Amazon and they were able to send me a replacement (the current and second charger I have) for no cost. I sent the first one back. Same thing happened again. Initially the charger worked well, then it started to have issues connecting and today it is not working at all. I went to check my receipt and guess when the window closed for me to issue a return? Yesterday. I think these chargers are manufactured to not stop working after a period of time in which you lose all of your money and have a defective product. Do NOT purchase this charger. I'm very frustrated and regret agreeing to the replacement, but thought I would give the company another chance. That was a mistake.

Sparks and broke
When we first got it it sparked whenever we plugged it in. We used it and left it plugged in. It's now broken though after several months of use. When you shake it something rattles around inside of it. Now, we're looking to buy another charger and definitely won't buy this one again.

CAUSED SPARKING AT THE MAGSAFE END AND POSSIBLY DAMAGED MY MAC
Several weeks into using it, I tired plugging it into my mac and there was sparking on the mag safe side. When testing it out by touching it with a spare piece of metal, there was more sparking. It may have damaged my mac and highly recommend no one uses it.When you buy knockoff brands you wouldn't expect a long lifetime or any warranty, but a possibility of damaging your computer is unacceptable.

Stopped working within 3 month of usage
Needed an extra charger for my home office and thought saving a few bucks wouldn't hurt but I should have spent the extra money to buy the original Apple charger. It started acting up in the first couple of months and finally stopped working. If you can spend a few extra dollars and get the real product.

Worked great for 8 days only.
Worked perfectly for about 8 days, then became temperamental about cord position and would only charge when I found the proper ever-changing and completely unobvious placement of the cord. Now, less than 3 weeks later, I cannot get it to charge at all after countless outlet and position changes. Sent back.

Not exactly, but does the trick
It is not an authentic mac cord. If you need to use the extended mac cord, you can't with this because it does not separate. It does charge our macbooks adequately. It is bulky to travel with as it does not have the tongs to wrap the cord around.

Worked for a year
I’ve had this charger for just over a year and it stopped working. Now I have to order another one. It should’ve lasted longer than a year.

Get what you pay for
This works with my 2013 retina Mac pro but the magnetic connector must have lost its magnetic abilities and barely sticks after a few months.
