Owning a warehouse worth of DW products, you can guess my rating will be pretty high! And I'm just a customer - unfortunately not an endorsee, so this review is the real thing. I have an 8-piece DW Collectors kit, plus multiple DW snare drums ... all DW hardware including two DW rack systems. I also have their version of the 'RIMS' system - and purchased these extra Tom Mount Brackets (those things I'm supposed to be reviewing!) to mount my 18" floor tom on a DW 3-piece rack to suspend it much like a gong drum. SOLID!!! The memory lock is a definite plus, and absolutely essential to keep this heavy drum permanently defying gravity while being beaten down with mallets and sticks! This is a great test and speaks to the quality of DW parts and hardware. Regardless the use, though, DW makes these parts and literally all of their hardware from the best materials ...and among the very best innovations on the market today (so long as we aren't talking about their concrete snare drum, that is! : 0 Whether DW drums are your favorite brand of drums or not is another matter. I love them - but I also play other brands as well. But when it comes to hardware, I need my gear to be locked-down and bullet-proof! I've had "incidents" in the past years on stage (not including the time my throne slipped off the edge mid-song!) ... and I know that high quality DW offers gives me the total peace of mind to forget all about my gear ... and just play! DW costs a little more than the average drum store stock, but it's always worth it to me in the long run.

I built an old school gong drum and use these to mount it on my kit which is also DW. Work great and look great.
