These furniture protectors work as expected to discourage cats from clawing at upholstered furniture. They've been installed for a couple of weeks and are adhering to chairs without any issues. The pins work fine. I haven't used the pins on some of the panels, but if my cats scratch at the edges, I'll put the pins in. The panels are easy to install and the guide lines on the backing help with measuring and cutting. I got the frosted matte finish to avoid the light reflection of glossy panels. The frosted finish definitely avoids light reflection. It really stands out on dark colors but is not intrusive on light colors.

The matte finish is perfect to blend in with my couch and it has stopped my cat from scratching my new furniture! DOUBLE CHECK YOUR COUCH FABRIC AND THE INSTRUCTIONS - it will ruin some if you do not follow the warnings. This happened with a cheap piece of furniture I used it on previously, but that was my bad. However, the two years it stayed on my cat did not scratch the furniture though so it does do the job wonderfully.

My little kitten lost her marbles, so this is keeping her from scratching the doorways like a little psychopath. It has so far deterred her from scratching anymore, and I have also added more scratching posts so that has helped as well. She definitely does not like the stickiness to it. It's a little hard to get it peeled. But overall, once it's stuck, it's there for a while. It won't move until you peel it off.

These stick well and do a good job of protecting the furniture my new kitty was attacking. If you are looking for something that blends in or molds exactly to the shape of the furniture, these are NOT for you. You can definitely tell they are stuck to the furniture as they are thick enough to withstand sharp kitty murder mittens! However, that’s what I personally needed more than for them to be aesthetically pleasing. They are also easy to cut and measure if your furniture shape is smaller than one of the large sheets. Would absolutely recommend as a temp deterrent to help train kitties where to scratch appropriately! Pro tip: get catnip spray to encourage play and scratching on the things they’re allowed to destroy.

I put these on the bottoms of the shrink wrap window insulation over the windows because the previous year, the animals scratched holes in the plastic. No problem this year!

So.. my cat peeled it off and ate it first night. I replaced it and it was game over, shes was already obsessed and was munching on it like its an all you can eat buffet.So unfortunately I cant use it to help with my furniture demon problem.My cat has a very unhealthy plastic obsession. May not be this way for normal cats, mine just hates me and has a death wish
