Timberland Men's Boat Shoes

I had a pair of these in the 80's and no one else seemed to be wearing them. The regular boat shoes were all the rage then. Fast forward a few decades and these have become much more popular. This time around I got these lug soled boat shoes in nubuck leather. The softness of the nubuck means there is no break in period needed for this shoe. It is immediately comfortable, with or without socks. I have wide feet so I usually upsize but the soft nubuck means you can go with your normal size even with wider feet.Timberland lug soles are really good for keeping you surefooted on any sort of surface. Combined with the comfort of a boat shoe and these make for great everyday go anywhere shoes. One could also get this in a dark hued full grain leather for a slightly dressier look that can take the place of penny loafers. These are really good shoes and I'll probably eventually have a few in different colors and leathers.

Comfortable and Looks Great … I Get Compliments all-day at Work … Advice, If You Stand or Walk a lot, Get you some comfortable inserts, without, several hours can be rough on your Feet. I have a Pro and a Con – The Shoe Does really well in the Rain, keeps your Feet pretty Dry, but the same waterproof leather makes your Feet very Hot / Sweaty when it’s hot outside, due to no Air holes / breathability … All and All Great Shoe and when these reach their life span, I will purchase another pair …

Very nice looking shoe and appears well built. Will require a break in period. The inside collar, for lack of a better word, rubs against my lower ankle and it is noticeably uncomfortable, but not bad enough to return. I'm hoping with time, and more wear, this will stop because the shoes look fantastic. Easily pair with jeans or khakis for a night out. Great casual shoe that fits like my nikes (lengthwise anyway). Timberland, work on that ankle tearer upper, the rest of the shoe is solid.

This shoes are unbreakable they will last for ever. Awesome, classic. Double life cycle. These shoes never go out of style and last for a loooong time. They just never quit, once they begin to get roughed up ( a couple of years or more) they're still good for casual/beach/outdoors. I've owned several pair of these particular shoes and I mean several, at least 15 pair over the last 20 years and loved them. No longer available from the manufacturer.

I bought a pair of these classic Timberland shoes about twenty-five years ago, maybe longer, way back in the dark ages before Amazon and on-line commerce entered my life. I grew to love their comfort and stylish casual look. I always took them on vacations and on quite a few trips to Europe that entailed some long days of walking through cityscapes and countryside. Unfortunately, after no telling how many hundred, perhaps even thousands of miles of service the soles, tough as they were, separated from the shoe. I reluctantly retired them from service after getting far more than my money's worth.How delighted I was to find the exact same shoe and exact same size still offered on Amazon. I got them the other day and began to break them in for another long haul of wear. I anticipate sporting these Timberlands around the home for the aged and might leave them in my will to my grandchildren. I'd take them with me if I could.

I first became aware of Timberland's 3-eye lug boat show 30 years ago. I currently have four pairs in various stages of wear. This version, with the light-colored sole, is my favorite - though the darker leather, black sole variation is virtually identical in fit and durability. I wear mainly Levi 501s with a blazer or a jacket. Darker, newer jeans to business events, faded jeans to less formal outings. The Timberland shoes are the perfect complement. They are the only shoes I've ever worn that folks comment on or compliment.
