Fantasic Calipers work exactly as they should: Very sturdy, all metal build with an easy-to-read large digital screen and 2 batteries in the box. The zero function is simple and easy to use and the screw pin lock makes for keeping a measurement easy as cake. A great value, and there is not much more I could ask for in a set of digital calipers.

I purchased the 12 inch model. I was pleased that it came with an extra battery, a 20 cm ruler, and a screw driver for the battery compartment. It was not at all difficult to remove the 2 screws and inert the battery, but I had difficulty getting the screws started when closing it up, due to the fact that they are the smallest screws I have ever held in my fingers. However, I did get them in.I have no complaints about the caliper itself, and would have rated it 5* if it were not for the case. The case was obviously built for a different instrument, is as cheaply made as it could be, is way too big, does not hold the caliper firmly, has cutouts that don't match the caliper, included ruler, spare battery, or screw driver, has latches that are both hard to operate and don't hold the lid firmly. And finally, doesn't have real hinges, just bridging plastic which is sure to break over time. The case is 16.75 x 5.0 x 1.25 inches. The caliper is 15.3 x 4 x 0.65. My 6 inch Harbor Freight caliper has a great case. In that I'm likely to only need the 12 inch a few times a year, I'll keep it and not send it back.

Bought this to upgrade from my cheap 150mm calipers and this has been a huge improvement. An extra decimal point in accuracy plus double the measuring length has been great. Primarily used for designing models for 3d printing and since my build plate it 350mm this has allowed me to measure larger objects with less trouble. Very sturdy build as well.

Great value and has provided more accuracy for our home. Have been able to figure some things out that were the same and different. Works great, seems like appropriate readings! A little room for improvement is it's a little loose in frame, but it's very nice. Easy to use and get measuring!

I've been wanting one of these and finally got one. The instrument seems to be good quality and slides really easily but not so loose that it slides inadvertently. There is also a slide lock that can be engaged to ensure the slide doesn't move. I had to use it the second day I had it to measure the id of a hole. Much easier than a tape measure and it seemed very accurate.
