Normally we ask you to return it for repair, but if you prefer to install it we will gladly send you a replacement spring. Q: How easily can I disconnect this product with one hand? I want to use it for work, and one handed disconnection is imperative.

Fairly well, I would think. This gadget is bulletproof and incredibly well designed. There isn't anyway that it will disconnect on its own or inadvertently I'm your pocket or throwing it around even but with enough force (you won't need much, depending on how strong you are, I'm a fairly strong 28 year old male, so my opinions of "easy" and "strong" may be different than yours) I would say maybe about 25-30 of your hand effort could disconnect it one handed. So maybe somewhere in the neighborhood of 4-5 pounds of force is enough to disconnect the two ends. Hope that helps.
