8 ounce is hard to find, works well, sturdy
Works as it should. Feels sturdy. I anticipate several years of use out of this before the hinge starts to get iffy.I use this for portioning ground raw food for pets.I will be buying a couple more so that packaging can happen more quickly..

Let me tell you! These are THE BESTTTT scoops I've ever come across for by food business. One thing though they are very big than how it appears in the pictures but they are very strong and durable and made from quality material. It also very ergonomically design for comfort. I love them

EDIT Review Scoop does not swipe, its defective
***UPDATED review:***The seller sent me a new scoop to replace the defective oneand the new scoop does work!So im happy with the new scoop and customer service.The scoop does not fully slide across the scoop bowl so dough will not get ejected. Its defective and need to get a replacement which is appearing to be a hassle from the manufacturer. I should not have bought this brand scoop.

Not for ice cream! It broke first use!
Probably works well with batter, cookie dough or serving soft foods, but don't buy it for ice cream! The scoop itself is robust, although I found it awkward to hold & use - really needs a place where you can put your thumb for better control. The scraper piece inside is very flimsy. It has just a little nub that fits into a hole in the scoop. With the first scoop of ice cream it came out of the hole & was bent into a paper clip.

Not the most durable, but gets the job done
Unfortunately, our scoop broke with less than two months of use. To be fair, we're a shop that uses it daily for edible cookie dough, so that would be considered "heavy use". But still disappointing, especially for the price. The very top of the moving part came out of the notch and can't be put back properly.It is still usable, for the time being, but I doubt we'll get more than another month out of it. Will buy a different model next time.
