Hammerite 5092830 Direct to Rust Metal Paint - Smooth Gold Finish 750ML

You cannot ever go wrong with Hammerite! Just don't mix it up too vigorously, keep stirring it as you use it (but gently!), don't overload your brush worth paint and you'll get a perfect finish, every time. For cleaning, just paint out the xs (on some old paper or board), use B&Qs own paint brush cleaner (cheap and cheerful), finish with a vigorous plunge in some hot water and washing up liquid, dry on a cloth and roll your brush tightly in some newspaper and store it that way - that stops the bristles from splaying out and makes the brush usably useful every time you need it. Works perfectly for me!

The product was great but the tin was all bent in for some reason. Was still able to use it.. Not the best package .

Goes a long way, nice matt kind of gold pleased with it.

Painted an external metal gate/fence, coat went on well, colour looks great.

Reason I am giving this low score is that you really need to have a word with your courier Hermes. Totally unprofessional and threw the box over the gate and into my garden in clear view thus emphasising the fact that I was at work and house was empty which is simply not acceptable. Please sort them out. Luckily the item was not damaged. This is not an isolated incident from Hermes. They did the same things with other fragile parcels to me another 2 times in the same week. Not on!

Brilliant product deserves 5 stars. Does exactly what it says and is beautiful colour looks like real gold metal. Very happy. Remember to purchase terps as water and liquid won't clean brushes.
