The best small investment you could ever make if you need it!!!!!!
I slipped off of the top step of my porch (ice) and landed 4 ft. down with my right foot onto concrete. The pain was so immediate and intense. I have to wear an extremely heavy (Fred Munster) boot from the orthopedic doctor at a price tag of $312.. I turned my foot one direction and my leg the opposite way. I broke a toe, sprained my ankle, tore ligaments all over, and nearly ruptured my achilles tendon. This happened a month ago. Oh for the agony. The doctor said it would heal in 2 weeks. I kept turning my ankle with that monstrous boot. It was way too heavy to wear to bed. I sent away for a night splint from a home health store. It was made from eggshell mattress pad with velcro around it!!!!! It cost more than this and was a joke. My foot and back of my leg still hurt. I kept re-injuring them. I sent away for this to wear at home. It is stronger than the hospital boot on the outside. The inside is made for absolute comfort and durability to sleep and rest in. There is so much strength that you can't re-injure your ankle/leg at all. It does exactly what it is intended for, with added comfort for your foot and leg. Now I can heal the right way so I can get back to living again. Being an invalid is awful. This is the real deal. The outside layer is made from the same medical grade material as the orthopedic boot at a fraction of the cost.

Great help with planter faciitis.
My wife is using this as part of a treatment regime for planter faciitis. Her condition has improved since using this regularly. She has a 7.5 shoe size and first bought the medium size. The medium was too big and it kept coming off during the night. The small works fine for her. It is not "comfortable", but is a necessary and successful treatment for the planter faciitis. It is as comfortable as could be expected under the circumstances.

Excellent Pre-hab splint
I'm non-weight bearing for 6+ weeks post ankle reconstruction surgery. This is perfect for keeping my ankle safe and secure as I get around, while also helping to stretch the Achilles tendon and other tendons, as directed by my doctor. Far better than wrapping in bandages and then wearing the heavy "walking" boot, since I can't walk! This is as comfortable as I can get with something that's restricting movement.I need to keep the surgical site uncovered so it heals, and with the full boot, I can't do that. This is perfect. I have light bandages and coverings to protect my skin, and this boot is fully adjustable around them. I did take out the wedge in the toe area because I'm not able to get that much stretch yet. That will be later, after physical therapy is well underway. Then, I will use this splint to maintain my proper function over the next several months at night. This is NOT meant to be a walking boot at all. This is a great interim until I get to bear weight in my actual walking boot, which is much heavier than this. This is lightweight yet very sturdy. Velcro is strong all the way around. The cushioning is soft and adequate. I will definitely recommend this item to anyone in a similar situation.

Couldn't use
I tried this splint to wear at night instead of cam boot with broken ankle, thinking it might be lighter and more comfortable. I couldn't begin to get my foot and ankle to bend and sit properly in the splint. Granted my ankle was still swollen and I thought at first it was just my problem but I had my husband try it with a normal "unbroken" ankle and he couldn't get his foot to sit right in it either. It is just angled too much. I think your ankle would have to be broke to get it at that crazy angle. Maybe the one I got was just made wrong or a lemon. I think it would have been comfortable if angled right. I had to send it back and it was easy to return.

Boots HURT!
I’ve had PF for a few years that doesn’t go away no matter what. I wanted to try brace ability but I was worried about the integrity of the Velcro. I thought I’d spend a few extra bucks. But, I can’t even keep this on. It hurts so bad! I have neuropathy in my feet and my feet are still killin me from trying to have it on. And the middle strap is terrible, sheesh.. I have old ankle injuries and the middle strap killed my ankles. I got no relief whatsoever and my foot wasn’t even kept in place.I am returning.... sorry, I can’t get use out of these if I can’t even keep these on :(

Relief at last,I highly recommend
After suffering with the latest bout of Plantar fasciitis for the last two months ,I searched and found this night splint. It prevents your toes from pointing down while you sleep and stretches your plantar fiscus tendon. It was a bit bulky to get used to but after just a couple nights I noticed some relief. I have been using it nightly ever since. I still get some pain after being on my feet all day but at least I can walk after I sit down and rest for a while. And after about a month I can now get out of bed in the morning and have NO pain. One warning, the manufacturer makes it clear that this is NOT for walking in ,it is for use while you are at rest. But I put mine on a couple of hours before going to bed so that I could get use to it,and trust me you will walk in it. So before you do I suggest that you remove the hard plastic shell and reinforce the ankle area with banded strapping tape. The kind with the fibers running through it,running the tape from toe to the heel on the outside of the shell ,keeping in mind that you want to keep it smooth and not bulky. I recommend this because I cracked mine in 4 days and have repaired it twice. Twice because I did not use the correct tape the first time. I reinforced the ankle section and the bottom section and I have not had any problems since. Just relief.
