For Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens EVA Hard Protective Case Carrying Pouch Cover Bag By Hermitshell

I purchased this Hermitshell hard case for my Canon EF 50mm f1.8 STM lens. With a UV filter and front and back caps fitted the lens is a snug fit longitudinally, with a little more well padded lateral play. In normal use the protection afforded to the lens should be adequate although a hefty bang on either base or top might prove dodgy. Impact protection would be slightly improved without the extra few mm of the UV filter adding to the length. Lateral protection is much better with thicker padding but sadly not enough space to include a lens hood reverse fitted to the lens. It is a neat little lens case although I would have preferred a slightly larger version to accommodate a lens hood. Despite these reservations I believe that this clam shell type case offers much better protection than the average lens pouch. I am pleased with this purchase.

I took a chance on this as I wanted a quality lens bag/pouch for my Canon EF-S 24mm ("Pancake") lens with a Phot-R 52mm wide angle metal lens hood attached. A tad tight but it fits! Very pleased with this lens pouch. Highly recommended.

Bought this to protect my Canon 24mm pancake lens. Needed a bit of padding from my other lens case. Understandable is this product is designed for a slightly larger lens. Very happy with it
