Martha Stewart Hutton Shaker Style Home Office Desk with Storage in White with Polished Brass Hardware

I got this for my wife. She likes the storage. No complaints It was easy to assemble

I'm quite fond of this Martha Stewart desk, although I've given it 4 stars due to its challenging assembly process and the drawers being somewhat difficult to align perfectly. Despite these minor setbacks, the desk has a sleek appearance, and any gaps are hardly noticeable. While the drawers may shift slightly, they still function well. It’s also quite sturdy. Overall, it's a stylish addition to any workspace, albeit with some assembly quirks.

So it's a beautiful desk. The step by step directions flow pretty well. Know up front that there are 33 pieces to put together and well over 100 screws, wood corks, nails, and other hardware. I put it together by myself, but definitely much better if you have a second person (which I unfortunately didn't). I start around 7:30pm and finished at about 2am. It was actually a bit fun to assemble until I got to the drawers. I read the instructions at least 10 times and still could not get the hardware for the drawers to install so that the drawers seamlessly pulled in and out. Every time I look at the desk now, seeing the drawer a little off kilter drives me nuts. I did contact Amazon and they refunded me a portion of the cost of the desk, which was helpful. All in all, it's a great desk, but do be patient when assembling the drawers. Also, the part the really needs to have two people is when you're connecting the side with the drawer and cabinet with the other side. The piece that holds the two sides together isn't as sturdy as it should be. For this reason and the difficulty of installing the drawer hardware, I give it a rating of 3.

So far we've gotten step 8 out of about 40 steps in manual and we've had to work around 2 stripped holes for screws and now 2 other pieces with holes in the wrong place not allowing the drawer slides to go on properly. It may get together one day with work arounds!

Good sturdy desk. Way easier to put together than ikea furniture. Pro tip: Before you put the drawers in, check that the drawer glides are level. If not unscrew & adjust the glide or piece of wood behind it.If the drawer is crooked it’s prob bc you screwed something together crooked. If it doesn’t push in all the way it’s because you screwed it in thru the wrong hole in the glide. Drawers are super annoying to assemble. If they’re wrong it’s usually something you did wrong or didn’t square. Go back to a couple steps & you can fix it

The desk is cute, it does the job. It was very very difficult to get the drawers on straight, and after only a few months it feels like the desk is going to fall apart. The screws won’t stay tight and the legs are separating from the bottom supports and the top. Going to replace it soon.

Overall, it is a decent product. It is high density fiber board, so it should not be labeled as "wood." The desk is packaged well, so it arrived undamaged. Assembly took about three hours, and was straight forward. The only issue is with the draw glides, the holes are drilled in the wrong spot, so the drawers stick out a half an inch. I had to drill my own holes. Other than that issue, the desk is a decent product for the price.

This was a great size for my in home office , it was also very easy to assemble and looks amazing. It's easy to move and the height is ideal.
