Good product
This chair is good and comfortable. Two remarkable things from my perspective are i.e. the first one being the brand of Godrej. The second is, it's made in India. I bought it for nearly 5k. Here is more details. Product is strong and professional looking. The chair handles are fixed i.e. it will not move up and down. It has height adjustment but no back rest adjustment. Overall good. Some DOWN SIDES are the wheel fitting really requires a lot of pressure. Point the wheel axil to front for inserting. WHEELS ARE NOT GOOD QUALITY (at least not upto the expectations from Godrej). Wheels get split on its own and peels off. Photograph attached. Overall satisfactory apart from wheel issues.

Deliberate delivery of broken product
Booked this item at a premium to other brands because it is by Godrej. The product arrived with a broken lever - the delivery boy said ₹ 500/- would be charged for installation which I did not mind ; he went ahead and installed it knowing it was broken. Luckily I saw it and pointed it out to him. He asked me to put it up for return or exchange. My grouse however is not with him - he did what he is trained to do. My problem is with Amazon and Godrej. 1. The lever is made of a breakable material - why at all, Godrej? It is the one part that takes stress repeatedly then why make it to fail ? 2. The product was most probably rejected by someone and it was then attempted to be dumped on me, I suspect, by the warehouse. A lever can’t be broken at assembly line can it ? 3. The whole experience of exchange is torturous and harrowing- most products are just accepted for exchange immediately if faulty. On this I got a message that the complaint needs to be further investigated. Status remained at that and I had to search the maze of menus and options to get on chat with a service executive- no telephone numbers mind you. The executive set up the exchange for me. No progress for two days on status. I had to Google for a contact number to speak to someone - NO telephone numbers on Amazon app to speak with anyone! What kind of customer support is this ? A week after purchase the chair was finally picked up today by a person and I am yet to get an update on when I might get the replacement. All in all totally at the mercy and whims of Amazon. Not happy at all. Not so much as an apology from anyone in the meanwhile for such a rotten experience. What’s worse I am not the only one complaining about broken levers ! Compare that with Blinkit - I had recd a damaged packet of rava for which I got a call immediately from a support executive profusely apologising and immediate refund / replacement of product. Learn from Blinkit, Amazon ! I know Amazon is not likely to even check on reviews but this is for those who may like Godrej chairs but take time to read reviews. UPDATE on 6th Nov 25: The above review was 4 days ago. Since the return of the chair the status still says "we will let you know when we can deliver the product to you". Is this company doing a favour on its customers by taking money in advance and then taking a call to supply at their convenience. I called up the customer care again and gave them an earful. The delivery i was told may be expected by 13th Nov !!! for an order placed on 26th October. Because they have logistic issues - in other words, the customer suffers so they may save a few bucks in logistics. Finally cancelled the item. Just not worth it - in fact it would be a constant reminder to me of my foolishness in buying from Amazon. This then is the ugly side of the Amazon.

Best Ergonomic Chair Under ₹5,000 – Great Value from a Trusted Brand
I've recently purchased the Godrej Curv Chair for a while now, and I must say, it offers excellent value—especially if you're shopping in the ₹5-6K range. What I liked: - Easy to Install: It’s a DIY setup, but genuinely simple. Took me less than 30 minutes to assemble. - Great Price (if you time it right): The MRP is ₹5990, but it regularly drops to ₹5490. I grabbed it for around ₹4800 using gift cards and coupons—at that price, it’s a steal. - Solid Ergonomics: For under ₹5000, this is probably the best ergonomic chair you’ll get from a reputed brand. The back support and overall comfort are excellent for long hours of sitting. - Soft & Comfortable Cushion: The seat cushion is surprisingly soft and very comfortable even after hours of use. - Trustworthy Brand & Service: Compared to brands like Astride, Da Urban, Cell Bell, Vergo, or Drago, Godrej’s service network is far superior. That peace of mind matters. What could be better: - The seat cushion is comfortable, but a removable/washable cover (like in the Godrej Vurv chair, which is similarly priced) would’ve been a nice touch. - The headrest isn’t a big deal—it’s only useful when you’re leaning back, which most people don’t do while working. - The maximum seat height is 53cm, which works fine for anyone up to 5'11". Taller folks might need to look elsewhere. Final Verdict: If your budget is in the ₹5,000–₹6,000 range, this is a reliable and comfortable ergonomic chair from a known brand. If you’re ready to spend ₹10K+, then chairs from The Sleep Company or even higher-end models from Godrej like Aero or Greta might be worth considering.
