Don’t use a hot iron!
*edit.:.. do not use a hot iron above 200 it melts the silver cover and ruins the mat, just had to throw mine the bin along with a new cotton nightshirt! Sad because I only recently bought it and was superb for ironing small pieces of craft fabric.
