works like a treat
I had gone to the USA a couple of years ago and in one of the shops I was given a $50 note which I used it in another restaurant. The restaurant guy immediately said it was a fake note.I immediately went to the guy who gave me the note and no questions asked - he exchanged it to the new one.So I decided to buy a pen as part of the travel kit. I used it abroad for the larger denomination and worked like a charmDefinitely worth it.

Doesn’t work on fake new £20
I tried it on a receipt it worked but the paper they use on fake notes now are similar to the current . So therefore does not work .Best way to spot the fake notes is check the hologram it has 2 in one as you move around at the bottom of note should read (pounds and fifty , twenty ,ten or five) Most fakes don’t have this double hologram . Also the paper is very crunchy .

Peace of mind !
Bought this when selling my car privately, and to check the authenticity of cash. Super easy to use and only £3.50 ! Worth it for the peace of mind, even if it was just for that one sale. As you can see from the photo, one way to tell if a note is genuine is that the light will show the number of the note (not visible without UV light). No number = fake note.

Waste Of Money DO NOT BUY
The media could not be loaded. Complete waste of money. Or. Does not work removed the paper from under the clip as per instructions, pressed the button & the UV light never came on, luckily Amazon issues me a refund.Would have given 0 starts but unfortunately there wasn’t an option for that
