VornadoOSC73 37" Whole Room Air Circulator Tower Fan with Remote Control, Black

I bought this fan as my previous similar fan had broken. The reason I love this fan as it does not move so it limits the chances of breaking near the motor of the other fan. It offers great circulation and it was much needed during the hot summer months with no air conditioning. I also like the remote so I keep it near my bed. Note I live in a studio apartment; I'm not sure how it would work in a larger house but for me, it worked for a 503 square foot apartment. It does get a bit loud on the high setting for when I was trying to watch TV or a movie so I would just change it to a lower setting. Lastly, I am constantly running this fan every night and have not run into any issues.In general, I would recommend this fan.

I am going to reach out to get the warranty going on this unit, but the fan already stops and starts itself automatically through usage due to a capacitor malfunction (if I am reading the tech boards correctly).I'll update after this is settled. Other than this problem the fan was very satisfactory in moving air through the room and providing white noise at night for sleeping.[UPDATE!]Return went well.Except, KEEP THE BOX IT CAME IN!UPS Stores apparently have never seen this size of box and I wound up having to buy a wardrobe box to ship it.New unit arrived and very happy with it.Remote works well.Love the noise to sleep by.

**Update, after receiving a replacement for the first unit. It too started the crazy beeping cycle after a few hours of use.🙄. Would be such a good fan if it didn't have the sleep timer and beep feature.***I so wanted to love this fan, I have had great Vornado products in the past. As a fan it moves a lot of air and circulates the air in my room just fine. Remote is awesome, and i enjoy the noise lvls it has. Helps drown out other house hold noises..However after a few weeks of use, the timer function which I never use. Decided to go haywire😪. Now it just sits in the corner, cycling through the different times on the timer function. Giving off an annoying beep each time it does. With a totally random timing pattern as well. To say it's annoying af, is an understate.

Well, after 25 days of use it became possessed by a demon and started randomly beeping thru the timer selections all by itself. It would rapidly beep thru them every few seconds but would continue to stay on. You could still use the remote to choose a time. However after a few more days since the first episode, the button on the tower quit functioning completely. Only the remote would work. But the fan would keep timing out during the night. Luckily this was still within the return window and we were able to get a replacement easily. Time will tell with the second one! We definitely noticed a large difference in the coolness of the room in the few days we were without a fan. So as long as there’s no malfunction, it does the job well.

I purchased this in hopes of getting a space saving but effective room fan. I may have overlooked in the description, but this fan does not oscillate. Instead the output vanes curve along the circumference as they travel vertically from top to bottom. This design helps disperse the output flow to a greater angle to make up for the lack of motorized rotation. It has three power settings; on the highest speed it’s decently quiet, but I felt the air power in the product description was over exaggerated as I didn’t notice too much air as little as 10 feet away, while being in the air path. Comes with a remote, which may or may not be useful depending on where you position it and how big of a room it’s in. I utilize it in my living room which is only about 9’x12’. It helps with overall air circulation and moving AC through a room, but don’t expect it to overpower anything else in the same tower-style category.

On low you can't even hear it but it still moves air Great! Medium and High move a ton of air in a huge area and still quiet enough to not have to turn up your TV volume. It doesn't oscillate but the design hits everyone in the room at all times which is GREAT!

I ended up buying and sticking with 3 of these units even though they are not what I was looking for. I got tired of buying and returning tower fans. This unit does not blow as hard as another branded fan I tried, but is just a bit quieter on medium and low. When on high it can be heard across a room. Needed fans for an atmosphere that is quiet like some tower fans I bought 12 years ago, but could not find an equivalent. This was a "I'll settle on this" fan.

I bought this to replace a Honeywell oscillating fan that I really liked but unfortunately died after 5 years of almost daily use. I picked this model to save space and it is great for that. It's also very quiet, I can run it on low or medium speed and it doesn't keep me awake. (High speed keeps me awake hence why I only gave 4 stars for noise.)It works well and looks nice. Hopefully it lasts. The remote is also nice to have and works well.

I bought this fan because of the "vornado" aspect of the fan going across the unit not just straight up and down, and it definitely blows air in all directions at the same time! But as I read on other reviews the speeds are interesting, speed 1 is perfect for sleeping because it's quiet but quite weak, speed 2 is rather loud in my opinion its almost as loud as speed 3 but it is a good speed to have in the house for ordinary daily air flow, speed 3 is LOUD but is efficient on circulating the air quicker which is awesome. I love this fan so far and can't see buying a regular oscillating fan after this to be honest! Setting it up is a little difficult though because you need to blindly screw the base into the unit and can't really feel if you have it going in properly or not, I would suggest changing that design and maybe having the unit with screws in the bottom already to then line up and go through the base and twist some butterfly nuts on. The base is sturdy though so that's awesome. I use it currently in a basement and it works wonders, I'm sure in a full on living room and house with better angels and placement this would rock! Read the instructions on where and how to place it because that helped a lot! I know that's what it's there for but we usually skip over that stuff now.
