Really nice and useful combo: trackball and laser pointer. It solves many issues related to the traditional mouse providing a precise and comfortable tool that fits well the need of prolonged use. Furthermore it is ideal for presentations due to its very light weight and the effective laser pointer.It works very well on both Microsoft Windows and *nix systems (i'm actually using it on Ubuntu). The sensitivity can be tuned via software and using the switch near the trigger acting as left button.

Pros:1) it's a good complement to mouse intensive users. Will allow you to o rest your wrist and keep you going.2) the device is symmetrical​, which means it'll work equally well with both hands.3) it's pretty simple to use, and you'll get used to it in no time.4) you'll look pretty cool, and people will stop by to ask you what it is and where they can buy one.Cons:1) expect a low build quality. The device is sturdy, but you'll notice gaps in the device's seams, which will bleed some red light from the internal laser.2) due to low build quality the rollerball is somewhat loose inside, so if you tilt the device, you'll hear the rollerball going in and out of it's socket, which is annoying.3) It's not incredibly precise, so avoid this if you're a graphic designer or if you need above average mouse precision.4) I don't especially like the rollerball's colour. Red or dark blue would have been better choices - it looks bland.In summary I like the device and I will keep it - I've fully replaced my traditional mouse, but sometimes miss the precision it gave me.

I debated as to whether this was 4 or 5 star, I gave it the benefit of the doubt as there is no 4.5 rating. Why not straight 5 star? Well everything works as advertised, installation has so far been automatic on Windows 7 and 10 and MacBook Air and it sits very comfortably in the hand. The only niggle is down to the choice of buttons. The two rear buttons are both right-click on Windows with the left front button being the laser pointer. It requires adjustment in your hold to access the pointer button if you are right-handed so it makes public presentations a bit trickier. Other than that the right front button can be used to click forward a PowerPoint presentation, the scroll works automatically in whatever window you are in and the trackball is responsive. Left click is a trigger button which once you get used to it is intuitive. One point, if you have your thumb on the trackball when you click the trigger the chances are you will jerk the mouse pointer and miss what you are trying to click so removing thumb from trackball before clicking is recommended.I originally bought this for use in public presentations and it has worked well as the additional mouse pointer functionality means it wins out over a simple clicker every time. Additionally I have found it useful when I couldn't use a regular mouse on my desktop due to an arm injury which meant I couldn't extend my arm. Because you can sit with your hand on your lap and it will still work, people with some limited mobility may find it useful.I don't use it every day so I can't vouch for the battery usage, but it turns itself of after a short time of inaction, revived by clicking a button. I always turn it off when not in use and keep the Bluetooth dongle in a little zip-lock bag in the pouch which comes with it as it's very small and could get lost. I'm not sure I'd use it full-time as a mouse, but for what I bought it for it does the job better than I expected.

Good little mouse with the dual function of a clicker for presentations. My only criticism is that the main button cab be pressed too easily, but I think this is something that I can overcome with practice.

Had this 5 mins & I love it already. Read the destructions first otherwise you'll not find the 'on/off' switch. I bought the laser version, but the laser button replaces the 'exit' button which might have been more useful in practice as I don't give lectures, but that was my choice. I have had RSI in my wrist and elbow from my existing trackball, so this will cure that problem. I bought it for use with my laptop, as I hate the scratch pad, but I'll be using it mainly on my PC as it is so cool. This is the future, it is a must have, ..for me anyway. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

These things are great when you HATE the little track pads on netbooks and laptops. Very usable.
