MAX MPH SHIELD II Motorcycle & Skiing/Snowboarding Back Spine Protector - Large

After putting this on for the first time, after half an hour I forgot that it's on me. This protector despite quite sold construction is unbelievably light. The belts are fully adjustable, Velcros allow adjusting literally to a millimeter.Also it's very ergonomic - I had to re-park my car to get the bike out, but already had all gear on me. So, I sat in a car seat with this protector and my jacket on with no issues at all. I only felt that my jacket got a bit thicker - that's the whole thing.Wide waist belt is very comfortable. Another plus is that this protector is actually wider than more expensive competitors and is covering shoulder blades too.For the sake of experiment I've put it on, leaned against the wall and rolled a bit to the sides - haven't touched the wall with my body at all. If you happen to fall and slide - this protector will take the whole impact.Strongly recommend this item.

Bought this back protector for my girlfriend when we go on motorcycle tours; she does not ride much with me so I thought she did not need a full spec (and well expensive) back protector, so I went for this one. It's okay, but it is not as good as traditional protectors.This back protector is made of 2 "units": a padded surface going from just above the "back side" up to the neck, and a series of hard protectors for the spine. Whilst the padded surface is ok, the hard protectors stop between the shoulder blades. Just a couple of extra protectors would have meant the whole spine would have been covered. It would not have cost much more and it would have made this product awesome. Instead, I'd rate it simply as "average".

using it as a horse rider with a bad back. Found this more accomodating than a body protector for a horse rider - very comfortable to wear under your jacket, over a t-shirt. It moves well with you and is not constricting as the plates move easily. Have not had a fall yet so cannot comment on how that feels - all falls are different so do not expect 100% protection but I am just a happy hacker at the moment so this works for me. Would happily recommend it to another happy hacker. Hoping to do more this year - perhaps some jumping so will try it out then.Price very competitive with the bigger names and looks the same product. It arrived promptly and is very adaptable to all sizes.

Received this spine protector a couple of days ago, only took two days to arrive.I had been looking at higher priced, more well known brands and after comparing each ones features and the fact that this is more than 50% cheaper I thought it worth a try.This is not just a spine protector, it covers the shoulder blades and also has a fully adjustable kidney belt.Some more expensive ones do not!I used it for the first time today and by the end of my 50 mile ride I pretty much forgot i was wearing it, except for my back being fairly warm. Outside temperature was about 25 degrees.It didn't restrict my movement either.Have to say I am so far really pleased with with my purchase.

Was a good product, that I returned and decided to rely on my built in jacket protection. But there was nothing wrong with this at all and if I did track day riding or every day, I would have kept it as it was not uncomfortable and felt like it would give great protection.

Used it for indoor snowboarding recently, one big fall and it protected what it needed. Good product, very hot though wearing it but that's no issue! Just don't wear so many clothes as it will get uncomfortable heat wise.. Otherwise comfy strong and great product!

Proved to be invaluable in one particularly high speed skiing wipeout. Bit of a faf getting the straps sorted out when first putting it on but once on, it stayed in place fairly well

I tried it on and felt the support and it felt natural, I have not worn it riding yet, but as a replacement to a stolen one, I do not envision a problem. I am 5ft 7in, not fat, I walk 60 miles a week and intend to use it this weekend.
