Can this play rom hacks?

I purchased the version with games. when i try to add new roms to mame folder it says the microsd is locked. any idea how to add games to locked card?

If you're using an SD adapter to plug into your computer, make sure the lock tab on the adapter isn't engaged. If it is, you won't be able to write files to the microSD.

Can it handle Simpson hit & run if I tried putting it on there ?

I put it on and just messed/ tweaked the system settings
