Syntec Profab - Carpet & Fabric Stain Protector 500ml

It would be better if it came out as a spray and not a jet.Instructions say 'spray evenly' which is quite impossible with a strong, narrow jet.

This morning I have used this spray carpet protector on the new carpet on my stairs. I have 12 steps - probably a standard number. The instructions on the bottle say the amount of liquid in the bottle (500ml) treats 5 square metres - with the spray needing to wet the carpet. Duly following the instructions, I was able to treat only 8 of my 12 steps - so have ordered a second bottle. Meanwhile, to say that the smell of the spray is mild and inoffensive. No idea yet how long the carpet will take to dry. ...I hope this is helpful for prospective purchasers.

... didn't work the first try. I sprayed our sofa. Waited 24 hours and PAH! Water soaked straight into the fabric. Does it need a second coat? I sprayed it again and wiped it into the fabric and the result can be seen in the pictures. (it's a teaspoon of water by the way). It needs quite a lot of spray to work, half a bottle did 2 sofa cushions.Water now beads and rolls off the sofa. So it seems to work. I would have liked a set of instructions rather than the words of wisdom on the bottle, maybe with a couple of pics to demostrate how wet the fabric needs to get before this stuff works. Of course, once you know... I'd buy more for other things.UPDATE : It's been around 18 months now and water still beads on the sofa, so an excellent result.

The lid is loose so product spilling out & trigger is broken too.

This product was easy to use at a good price. You just spray it on evenly and let it dry, no rubbing it in and it dries very quickly. We would recommend this product

Used this to protect my new (pale gray 😒) car upholstery after a mishap with a protein shake in my old car. Liberally sprayed, dried and recoated, water now beads on the fabric. One bottle of this at £8 v the £300 at the garage 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We were doubtful of this product after use as water was not repelled (products like scotchguard normally prevent moisture being absorbed) - when we dropped water on the carpet after using the protector, it simply sunk in. However after a couple of months of walking on the carpet (which is in a high traffic area in our house) it does seem to be working. The carpet is noticably cleaner than it was and comes up like new after a good vacuum clean.

Nice and easy to use. Dried on well.
