We used this as a shelter for our dog to use the restroom under so he didn’t get wet . It has held up through ice and snow but we did use a broom periodically and stand underneath the tent pushing up on the canvas to make the snow and ice slide off so it wouldn’t get too heavy. We give this product an A+. (Weights sold separately) Update: suggestions. The roof frame needs extra poles because the heavy rain made the canvas droop and hold water making the hollow poles break. The canvas was still in tact so we kept it for other uses. But to be fair, we give it a B rating since it’s not meant to be semi-permanent or permanent but it’s still great for tailgating. 🏈 😊

A strong and practical canopy that’s ideal for outdoor gatherings, events, or markets. It’s reliable, easy to use, and built to last with proper care.

This canopy replaced my first generation EZ UP that had poles you needed to put together to hold up the top. This canopy opens and the top is instantly supported with struts from the top of the four legs. There is no center pole holding up the peak. The pull rings and the height adjustment clips are set up well so you should not pinch your fingers. The frame mechanism is greatly improved and no fingers were pinched during set up or take down. Two of us easily set it up and took it down; with the old one if two people tried to do that there would be a lot of saying, "Wait while I move to the other corner. No, don't pull it yet. Ouch, you just pinched me!" The rolling bag is sturdy and the wheels are large so it is easy to pull along. The canopy is heavy to lift so the rolling bag is a needed. I also bought a sidewall and it has a little storage bag which fits inside the roller bag. I bought white; I wanted blue but the Ambassador does not come in that color. I like that it is true 10' X 10' with straight vertical legs. Be sure to get the side wall to increase the shade as the canopy sits up high. It is tall with only two height adjustments: high and higher. Some of the literature says it has three height adjustments, but I contacted EZ UP and they confirmed that it only has two adjustment height holes. The fabric is substantial and it is reinforced in the corners. I did not use it in the rain and it was not windy. We used it to have a socially distanced meal in our driveway on a very sunny day during Covid-19.

We recently purchased the EZ Up Ambassador Instant Pop-Up Canopy Tent, and while it has some great features, our experience took a turn during a windy day. Setup and Ease of Use: Setting up the canopy was a breeze. The instant pop-up mechanism is great, allowing me to have it ready in just a few minutes. Durability and Material: The materials feel sturdy, and the fabric is good quality. I appreciated the UV protection and waterproof features, which seemed solid based on other uses. However, my experience with durability was tested during an unexpected windy day. Wind Performance: Unfortunately, the canopy collapsed during high winds. We tied it down from the crown but didn’t stake it down to the ground, which I know is crucial for stability in windy conditions. While I expected some movement, I didn't anticipate it being blown over so easily. The frame bent beyond repair, which was disappointing. Overall Impression: This recent purchase is a replacement for the one that was ruined. We’ve learned our lesson and will be sure to stake this new one down for added stability. The EZ Up Ambassador has great potential for calmer conditions and is a solid option for casual gatherings. Just remember to secure it properly if you’re expecting wind!

After receiving this pop-up canopy, I was initially excited as it has easy to use up/down components on the legs and and easy release pull ring for the corners. Much easier to use than other units. Then when putting on the canopy I was taken back as there are no velcro ties/secure strips to connect the canopy to the frame trusses. My concerns was that would the unit stand up to a stiff breeze or rain. Answer is, IT WON'T! I did not even get 1 full day out of this canopy. Day 1: put up the canopy. After just a few hours of use, I left to go to the store for a few items. While shopping it began to rain. I arrived home to find the canopy a tangled mass of wreckage. My wife explained that she saw that the canopy had collected the rain water as there were no strips to connect the canopy to the trusses. The canopy did not shed the rain, sagged and filled it up. As my wife went out to try to get the water out, the entire frame buckled and collapsed. Two side trusses are now destroyed and although you can purchase replacement trusses, they are $21 each. So, by the time replacement parts are purchased, it cost more to fix than by a new canopy. Better to just by an $80 Walmart special. I have had those last 4+ years. Beyond Disappointed! Don't waste your money on this one!

Easy to use and set up. Nice 10 x 10 layout. Lightweight and packs away with ease.

A solid throw canopy. It is reasonably sturdy and very easy to erect. The pegs for holding it down or solid as well. It has endured all that mother nature has thrown at it.

steel frame is very thin, it is not for outside, there is no place to connect rope...i am disappointment
