It is a good price when comparing with Garmin's solution. It is easy to install and attach to my day hike or backpacking bag shoulder strap. I love the cord which keeps it from falling to the ground. I have not had the experience of it falling off by accidental bumping as I have read in others reviews. It can take a bit of practice to put back within the harness, you have to be deliberate to align it in a diagonal so it falls into the groves and twist to upright position in the harness to lock in place. But I am sure you can get better at it with time.

The Garmin tether is super convenient. It's long enough to use but doesn't get in the way. It takes a few practices to easily hook/unhook with one hand but once you get it down it's a breeze!

I gave it a four because I didn’t like the tether (that it could not be taken off without cutting one end) I really liked it but where I hunt there’s a lot of deadfall and the tether caught on dead branches way too often. I have another mini reach holder and it works fine but this one is way easier to deploy I also wish the plastic holder made of a stiff rubber or something just not plastic (I hope the plastic holder won’t break in the very cold weather in Montana during the hunting season but it seems to work fine now. I like it but it’s only been out once.

Works well for the price. Velcro isn't high quality but has lasted a year of use. Twist lock is a little tricky but works. Metal hasp on the bungee is trash, throw that away first
