Easy to learn
I wanted to start making my own network cables for long runs and custom short runs, and after some comparing, this one seemed to be the best budget option. It is quite robust, with many starter peices to learn from, and the accompanying test tool works perfectly and quite easy to understand.I found it easiest to understand how the wire ordering works through watching a YouTube video of one in use, however the leaflet that comes with this is very useful to have on hand.

Superb - does what it does .... but do some research first.
This device ticked every box for me. I needed to run some Cat6 cables to wire up some Netgear Orbi satellites that kept disconnecting over wireless. The newer pass thru RJ45 connectors are a breeze compared to their older counterparts, and this crimper is superb reliable and easy to use. The additional tools are very welcome and the package includes everything you need.Just, do your research when buying cable, I managed to buy 50M of unusable cable because it was way too thick to get it into this. My fault, so please check.

Does the job -- a few times
If you're looking for a product to terminate around a dozen cable ends, this is decent. If you're hoping to do more, maybe it's best to look elsewhere. The blades break very fast, the cheap cable stripper broke within a few uses, and the RJ45 boots are dreadful (too stiff and rigid, not very nice to work with if you find yourself wanting to pull a terminated RJ45 with one attached back out of a device).

Well made.
I have fitted cctv to my property. This kit made the job so much neater custom length network cables. Works really well.

Crimp tool seems ok but cable tester faulty.
I have created a few test cables and was initially disappointed to find that when I tested them using the included tester each cable appeared to fail the test. Examining the connectors using a desk magnifier everything looked good so I decided to check the cable tester using some known good cables and found they also failed on the tester.I can only conclude that the tester is faulty and will be referring to Amazon’s FAQs to see if I can return only the tester for a replacement or whether I have to return the whole kit.I returned the kit for a refund and bought an alternative Amazon recommended crimp tool and tester both of which I feel are better quality than those in this kit and both work well.

Does the job
The RJ45 crimper tool works perfectly. It is very solid and super easy to use. The ergonomic aspect of the tool is a bit weird. It could be revised but it's not a show stopper. The cutter and stripper are very nice and easy to use.I like the cable tester. Can't be easier than that to use. Flip the switch, connect each end of the cable and you'll see the lights corresponding to each wire lite, if connection is good. Now for the pack of RJ45 connectors. I had a success rate of 0%. None of them worked on solid and stranded Cat5e. I bought separate connectors and they worked flawlessly. I'm sure I got a bad batch. I contacted the seller and got an answer the same day. They managed to fix the issue to my full satisfaction. Thanks Amy :-)I do recommend the product. The crimper will last you for ever.

Fantastic starter crimper
As somebody who just wanted to add connectors to a handful of network cables this was fantastic. Great price point and seemed to work really well. I had a few cases of the stripper cutting the wires unintentionally and one case where one of the wires had no signal after crimping (so I had to redo it) - no idea if this is a comment on my lack of experience or the tool itself but overall highly recommended this product.Comes with everything you need (except the cable and a 9v battery for the tester) at a great price point.

great stuff, did made 20 cables.
I have made 20 cables so far.. 40 connections..they all worked perfectly..I dont have an option beyond a home user..I will probably make 50 or so more cables.. I think this will suit my needs..it does come with extra blades to cut off extra bits on pass through cables..so the RJ45 connectors are good.the tester work fine..Cisco router says all good..great for home or small office.. fells like a solid Klein tools clone?

Fairly simple to operate once you establish a handling proceedure
I bought this unit because I was tired of trying to see if I had inserted the cable wires into the plug correctly. The pass-through feature of the these type of connectors makes it much easier to see if the wires are inserted correctly. I've made over 100 connections and the unit seems to be working just fine. I had to learn a bit of new technique due to the way the unit cuts wire and then crimps the connector, but once I got that down pat, I just sailed along from one connection to another. The wire trimmer at the plug works well, only occasionally leaving one dangling a bit. The included connectors seem to be sized for 23 gauge wire and insulation thickness although I did have luck terminating 24 gauge. The wires come out the end of the connector in direct alignment rather than some of those that are staggered. I believe the staggered ones are rated higher but for my home gigabit network they work just fine.
