This is my second order because they seem to disappear in my house. I use these in my front load washer only. I use the softer woolie balls for my dryer. Even my teenagers notice a difference when they use these the (very few) times they wash their own clothes. The difference to me in using these versus not is like pouring cream in your coffee then either stirring it up or leaving it sit.I use water softener salt (layered with baking soda & essential oils) as fabric softener & freshener that I throw into my washer before I put the clothes in. I may use some super wash or crystal bleach depending on what I'm washing. I use a liquid laundry detergent (that I make & is better than even Tide) & a mixture of vinegar, lemon, & lime juice for liquid softener that & pour into my washer dispensers. Then, because I usually have a full load, I put a few of these balls every 4th increment of layered clothes. These balls improve water/soap mixture & circulation as well as help keep the clothes from bunching allowing the fabric to loosen up washing dirt & odor out better.My Kids & I totally believe using these guys improve the over cleaning of our clothes. Using these in the washer is now a must for us.

I've been using these for almost a year now. I buy these ones and another one that are white. After so much drying you probably need to get other ones. I would say they last a good six months to one year. It depends on how much you are using them. I have a family of six and we do laundry every single day of the year. They come in a little White plastic mesh bag easy open. This would actually be greatest stocking stuffers or gifting to somebody who just got a new dryer or a new home. Great price!

Not as good as other, softer, dryer balls. But it's an amazing price, and there are 8, so I just threw 4 of 'em in instead of 2. And since there are 8, you don't need to find the one that got stuck in a pant leg or tangled in a sweater coming out of the dryer before starting your next load. Bonus: these are very hard little dryer balls, and are EXCELLENT to use as foot rollers after a good workout or if you have achy arches, tendinitis in your feet, or just want a good at-home foot massage.

These balls cut down on wrinkles -- if I immediately remove the clothes when the dryer alarm goes off. I combine one with two of the small gyroscope-looking ones and most times I have no static or very little. I gave the rest of the balls to relatives so that they wouldn't need fabric softener any more. The only time I buy fabric softener is to remove wallpaper.

If you're still using fabric softener, STOP! Dryer balls are not only more economical but better for the environment. I moved into a new place that has a septic system. I looked for fabric softener that would upset the balance needed to keep your system running without problems since I had already found several detergents that were great. I then read that there are virtually no fabric softeners that are recommended for septic systems. Dryer balls are an alternative. I tried wool ones, but found that they get fuzzy and discolored rather quickly. These dryer balls are great! I use 4 at a time. You could use all of them, but I found it doesn't really make a difference. Go reusable. You won't be sorry.

Want to save money on fabric softener? Buy these things! They work! No more static in clothes coming out of the dryer! FABULOUS! I'm HIGHLY allergic to scents, esp. chemical ones, so dryer sheets are out of the question, as well as any scented soap. For years I dealt with tons of static. Then I found these. Best thing ever for saving money. No softener ever necessary. These work! :-)

I purchased my first set of dryer balls from a dollar store. So far, these seem to be holding up a little better. I still use the same amount of liquid fabric softener, as I hang dry several easy care items, but I find that by using the dryer balls my clothes end up less wrinkled. I think the balls help to beat the wrinkles out. I highly recommend these dryer balls!
