This is only a 5MP camera faking 8MP in firmware
This camera is only a 5MP camera but the firmware fakes it as a 8MP. If you look at the firmware version it shows the image sensor/processor model number: TB38M16 this is a 5MP sensor from TOPSEEif you look up the model number: HD385-P and goto Hiseeu's website it also is advertised as only a 5MP camera. for some reason they are falsely advertising it on Amazon.The box even falsely advertises it as a 8MP camera.On top of this the PTZ controls did not function at all regardless of my browser even though the camera does its initial power on PTZ limit test so I know the motors work.The heatsink for the processor fell off and was lose inside the camera and there is a cover for an SD card however no SD card board and that is where you see the heatsink just hanging out.This would have been a good deal if the PTZ worked and it was actually a 8MP camera.I ordered 6 as part of the black Friday deals at $59.89 eachI took pictures of the actual camera board inside and it matched up with a 5MP spec which is only good for 2.5K or 1080p

The product is defective, it keeps going offline in the plug n play method. You change the port same problem.

Garbage
Total waste of money with Hisseu cameras and this is the worst... PTZ and tracking never work, only when it's first powered on, it goes thru "initial setup", Happy for 5 seconds and then just frustration.Hisseu system has its own mind, it will decide whenever it works : time, detection, lighting ETC. Not every camera saves all features, but one in the pack is "better" than the other...Comical. It does record thou, as its very basic feature works, wow.

Couldn't get all features to work
Plug and play was great with my NVR. Could not utilize all the advertised features such as color night vision and alarm modes. Contacted customer service and after giving them my model numbers I never heard back. I ended up returning this to Amazon. Disappointing
