Q: How does this handle 13lb braid and 2g to 9g perch jigs/neds and creature baits?

13lb braid is not a problem. I have used 10lb mono and now, using 40lb braid Its the lack of casting weight that will be a issue. I e 2-9g is a bit light to get the momentum of the drum spinning. You try to force the cast and end up with tangles because the lure is too light. I use mine for 15g lures upward. Smaller lures, spinners, jugs and creature baits i use a normal 1000 fixed spiil reel as is, alot easier to cast for distance.
