Well, the plumber is still here and he asked me to post a review; he even joked that it was a good job that we called on him, a Polish plumber, as a UK plumber would be flummoxed! He was joking, as, despite his name he was born and brought up in Wales, all of which is totally irrelevant. What is relevant is that nobody seems to have stated that the big problem with this beautiful tap is that it is a continental design with metric fittings that do not work with standard UK fittings. Fortunately, our plumber is extremely good natured and has just driven to the nearest plumbing merchant's and back, triumphantly returning with the required fittings. Meanwhile I have been subjected to comments such as "What do you expect when you buy a tap off the internet?" Anyway, I hope we are winning now. All I can say is, ensure that you have in a good supply of tea and biscuits, or, alternatively, warn your plumber in advance about the fittings. The tap does look beautiful, and complements the sink perfectly. After all this fuss, I do hope it works perfectly too. Delivery was very fast and the tap came beautifully packaged, but do take heed about the sizing of the fittings. There really should be a warning that they are not compatible with standard UK fittings. Mind you, perhaps that's not the case in London; we do things differently in Wales.

Superb finish to item looks great and smooth to operate however the flexible connectors supplied are not a standard UK fitting size but no problem finding adapters to enable it to fit to existing pipework. Installation in restricted spaces is made easy with the long length fixing mechanism making it easy to tighten it up to the back of my sink

I am normally very careful when it comes to purchasing big ticket lines off the internet, so before I bought this tap, I did some research on the Mizo brand first (purchasing through Amazon also helped)When it arrived I was pleased with the packaging, in a retail box and protected enough to prevent and damage to the tap in transit. I was also pleased with the weight of the package, giving some indication to the quality of the tap. On opening it, everything was in the box that I would need to fit it, the tap and the two tails for connecting it to the hot and cold. Once the water was disconnected it was easy to remove the old tap (and even easier than previously to fit the Mizzo tap due to the large plastic threaded 'nut' that means you don't have to get on your back in a cramped cupboard with a screwdriver to tighten it). When I'd finished fitting it, not only did it look good, the body of the tap swivelled easily and the ceramic disc used to open and close the water valves, worked perfectly.All in all a great purchase for me and I have no problem in recommending this tap, it looks good and works exactly as you would want it to. A beautiful brushed finish to it.
