This thing will just about grind anything!! Size is perfect to fit in slide out IKEA kitchen sink cabinets. Which some other brands the back of the slid out will hit the bottom of the disposal. It’s a solid and durable build that’s easy to install. Efficient and top class. No leaks due to the design quality.

I needed to replace an older (23years) model of the insinkerator and since I had such good luck wanted the same model. unfortuneatly they no longer make that one and this was the model that was suggested as a replacement. Pros: 1. seems well built 2. easy to install 3. runs quietly 4. cord easy to install just slide in place and screw in place and ready to go cons: 1.(not really a con just a warning) since it is a solid built disposal it does have some weight to it so don't expect some light weight unit to lift up while installing. not a problem for the average person but if you are on the weak side might need someone to lift it into place when mounting it. 2. as others have said you have to buy their cord to install, would be nice if they just packaged a cord with the unit and give you a choice between motes with a cord or hard wired. I know most units of any brand no longer come with cords but since you have to use their easy mount cord and can not use a generic cord they really should package it with the unit even if it cost a few bucks more conclusion: very happy with the unit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good home disposal unit.

The disposal is a fine product, and the new wiring adapter is a time-saving improvement over using wire nuts or other connectors. Having said that -- BEWARE of ordering "Used - Like New" from Amazon Resale. In my case, a "mint" condition unit arrived with a slightly cracked and dented case, and the unit would only buzz (and not spin at all) when powered on. Since this product is not shipped with a power cord (sold separately), I am guessing that Amazon does not apply power to this product when assessing product returns. Guessing that the 'condition' grade for such products is based on appearance (and condition of packaging) rather than (apparently untested) function. 5 stars for Insinkerator, 0 stars for Amazon Resale.

Had to replace an Insinkerator Badger 5 disposal that broke after 13 years. I was planning to replace it with another Badger 5 until I saw that this one claimed to be a "quick install," to operate more quietly, and have a better warranty. (I was disappointed to learn the Badger 5 now only has a 2-year warranty.) The good: this 3/4 HP Garbage Disposal definitely operates far more quietly than the Badger 5. For that, I am thankful. However, this unti wasn't "easier" to install than the Badger 5. This disposal actually fits on the previous sink mount used for the Badger 5, and yet, this unit actually needs the sink mount that comes with it as the opening is 1/8 –1/4 inch narrower than the opening of the Badger 5. So don't be fooled like I was - if you get this one, plan to remove the old sink mount, even if it looks to be the same size. You'll save yourself the time of installing, thinking everything is going great, and then having to undo all of your work so that you can put on the correct sink mount. Lastly, I wish the EZ Connect for plug-in came with this unit rather than being a separate purchase. I'm glad I caught the facdt that I had to make the purchase, but I can foresee some people missing that fact and getting frustrated when they open it up and it is set-up for a hard-wired unit. So Insinkerator, if you want to make your customers happy by being a company that goes above and beyond, provide everything needed without having to make a separate purchase.

We bought this to replace our old one. We have been very happy with the product. It works very well and is not too noisy. It was also easy to install.

I purchased this InSinkErator power .75 HP to replace a off brand that had high reviews on Amazon. The previous one only lasts me five years. Before that I had one of these InSinkErator that lasted me 15 years. So when I needed to replace this, I went back to this brand. It’s well-made and super quiet.

We are replacing a 12 year old Insinkerator Badger 3/4. The fact that the old Badger lasted that long makes me confident in purchasing another Insinkerator. We opted for the Power model because, unlike the Badger, this has 2 stage grinding and fits our budget. This garbage disposal is noticeably quieter than the one we replaced and very easy to install. We didn't need to replace the mounting collar since it's the same collar from 13 years ago...I applaud this company for maintaining this feature! It also came with a couple of pipes for the install, but we chose to use the PVC pipe we already had. It came with a sink stopper & a removable sink baffle. I like the idea of being able to remove that baffle for cleaning from time to time...those things get nasty. We didn't lose any space with this replacement. I was surprised, when reading the instructions for use, that besides grinding ice to scour the disposal, you should also grind small bones & fruit pits for scouring. I've used the disposal every day for 2 weeks and am very happy with it.
