Pretty solid minimal roll. I would recommend for travel or for cooking jobs that only require a small set of knives. It rolls up small and fits in any backpack or whatever. The canvas is thick but I could see sharp enough blades without sheathes finding their way through the seams. I chose this roll not just because the price couldn’t be beat but because I wanted the most compact pouch for my knives available as well as something that could be easily thrown in the washing machine every so often. Many cooks don’t realize the amount of bacteria that can build up in a chef bag or knife roll if not properly maintained. I tend to stay away from higher end fancy knife rolls because they are harder to wash and maintain. This one is perfect for my needs and if my knife set gets larger I’ll likely invest in a larger sized version of the same roll.

Course, heavy cotton fabric - sort of a military grade product. Not elegant or especially professional looking but durable. Should last awhile. If anything fails, the tie strings will go first. I bought for the low price.

ordered this for work, i don't need a full knife roll because i only use about 2 knives at work so i decided to get this little guy. he works so great! seriously the perfect size for my chef knife, bread knife, and a third tool - usually a microplane or offset spat. love the olive green too, everyone else's rolls are boring black.. mines the coolest one now that it's green!

...if you have short knivesIt's quite sturdy, and I'd give it a higher rating if it had accommodated my 10" chef's knife, but there is not enough upper flap to cover the knife securely. If I was using it, for shorter knives I might have given it 5 stars

Great roll. Not cheap material that easily tears like most name brand knife rolls. Ive owned many brands and they've always ended up in the trash. This simple design looks great. This can easily be washed and hung to dry. Purchase it, don't even waste your time. Looks exactly as advertised.

Bought this for my husband he is a sushi chef so he always needs a new knife roll every year. So far so good protects his knives perfect

It's a really good bag, very durable. Just make sure your knives fit in the dimensions they give. I did not double check that, and some of mine didnt fit
